Job Title: Lead Bankfast Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Engineer with hands-on experience in implementing Sandstone Technology's BankFast eXperience Platform (BXP). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and deployment of BXP, ensuring the platform is optimized to meet our business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of digital banking platforms, strong technical leadership, and the ability to collaborate across various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Implementation Projects: Oversee the full lifecycle of implementing Sandstone Technology's BXP, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-launch support.
• Architect Solutions: Design and develop scalable and secure solutions within the BXP framework, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business goals.
• Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment that drives successful project outcomes.
• Integration: Seamlessly integrate BXP with existing banking systems and third-party services, ensuring data consistency and secure transactions.
• Customization: Tailor the BXP platform to meet specific business needs, including developing custom components and features.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the platform delivers an exceptional user experience.
• Quality Assurance: Implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables with minimal defects.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after the implementation, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest developments in Sandstone Technology and other digital banking platforms, and recommend enhancements to keep our solutions cutting-edge.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in implementing Sandstone Technology's BankFast eXperience Platform (BXP).
• Proven track record in leading technical teams and delivering successful digital banking projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Angular, React).
• Strong understanding of API development, microservices architecture, and cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Extensive experience with Sandstone Technology's BXP, including customization and integration capabilities.
• Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of digital banking solutions, customer onboarding, loan origination, and other financial products within the BXP ecosystem.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading Agile teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other digital banking platforms and technologies.
• Certification or formal training in Sandstone Technology products.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial services industry, particularly in digital banking.

Responsibilities:

• Take on complex problems that span multiple components and teams.

• Independently own one or more multiple modules, which include: requirement analysis, design, development, maintenance & support

• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules that handle the interaction between multiple components.

• Rapidly iterate to add new functionalities and solves complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions

• Produce architecture with clean interfaces, that are efficient and scalable

• Participate and contribute to architectural discussions

• Solve production issues. Investigate and provide solutions to minimize the business impact due to the outage

• Continuously improve performance metrics of modules you own.

• Collaborate effectively across teams to solve problems, execute and deliver results

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science

• Software engineering and product delivery experience, with a strong background in algorithms

• Experience in architecting & building real-time, large-scale e-commerce applications

• Experience with high-performance websites catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus

• Excellent command over Data Structures and Algorithms

• Experience with web technologies, Go/Java/Python

• Language: GO or Python

• Strong expertise in DS and Algo

• Strong leadership skills - have experience mentoring, building products from scratch or incumbent in design and architecture.

• Have worked in the scaling of the system right from scratch.

• Someone worked in small user base to a large user base and wrote optimized code

• Both HLD and LLD

• Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
• Implementing and controlling the flow of data to and from AWS.
• Selecting the appropriate AWS service based on compute, data, or security requirements.
• Identifying appropriate use of AWS operational best practices.
• Estimating AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms.
• Managing & troubleshooting on Linux Based Platforms.
• Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements

Essential Criteria:

• Two or more years of hands-on experience operating AWS-based applications.
• Experience provisioning, operating and maintaining systems running on AWS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills like Jboss, Tomcat on Linux Platforms.
• Explicit knowledge of Computing, Storage, Networking, and Security technologies in the Amazon AWS hosting environment.
• Experience in setting up Cloud Monitoring using CloudWatch or any other tool.
• Knowledge of Load Balancers, Firewalls, and network switching components.
• Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on AWS.
• Capabilities to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Efficient management of the Company’s IT Assets and Infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, shell scripts, Apache, Mysql, Development Operations, Configuration management, monitoring, and TCP/IP protocols.
• Highly self-motivated and hard-working with excellent communication skills.  Excellent English verbal and written proficiency is essential.
• Understanding of the basics of scalable SaaS systems /Cloud fundamentals.
• Understanding of security best practices.
• Ability to work with very little supervision and to work well in a team environment.

• You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• You have at least 7 years of DevOps experience.
• You have deep understanding of AWS and cloud architectures/services.
• You have expertise within the container and container orchestration space (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• You have experience working with infrastructure provisioning tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or others.
• You have experience enabling CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, Gitlab, or others.
• You bring a deep understanding and application of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• You have a track record of delivering successful solutions and collaborating with others.
• You take security into account when building new systems.

Job Description

We are looking for a user experience (UX) designer able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews, and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into user flow, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
• Facilitate the product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products.
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
• Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas.

Requirements

• (3+ Yr.’s) three or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
• Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketching, Design, Photoshop, Wireframing, User Research, Prototype, UX UI Designer,(Added Advantage OmniGraffle, Azure RP, In Vision, UX Pin, )etc
• Ability to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet the product’s needs and vision.
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centred design and design thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
