Data Engineer - Power BI Modelling

Level: Senior to Advanced - 5-15 years

Locations: Mumbai / Bengaluru

Joining an existing data engineering squad, you own Power BI semantic modeling on top of PySpark/SQL pipeline engineering, delivering enterprise-grade reporting and analytics. As an embedded Data Engineer, you turn PySpark pipelines into trusted Power BI models for the business.

Note: Shares a common PySpark/Snowflake base with "Data Engineer - Graphing" - source together, differentiate on semantic-modeling vs. graphing depth at interview.

Key responsibilities

1. Model semantically. Build and maintain Power BI semantic models (DAX, star schemas) for enterprise reporting.
2. Build pipelines. Develop PySpark/Python and SQL pipelines feeding the Snowflake environment.
3. Partner with stakeholders. Translate reporting requirements into performant data models.
4. Ensure data quality. Validate accuracy and performance of models and underlying pipelines.
5. Collaborate. Operate inside the existing squad with no separate delivery lead required.
6. Explore GenAI. Apply GenAI techniques to reporting and data use cases as opportunities arise.

Must-have qualifications

• Python and PySpark

 Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

• Understand, design, implement & maintain O365, SharePoint and Power Platforms

solutions.

• Create detailed design artifact like program specifications, test plans, and independently

develop and review code 

• Design and develop solutions to implement requirement efficiently in line with business

strategy, security, and compliance 

• Use critical thinking skills to understand the pain points of business and generate desired

solution 

• Design of environment architecture with organizational IT architects and IT security 

• Create comprehensive solutions based on Microsoft Power platforms components like

Power App, Power Automate, Power BI and Power Virtual Agent, Data verse and

SharePoint.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications 

Education: bachelor’s degree 

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platforms 

 Required Skills 

Experience in SharePoint Framework SPFx, SharePoint On-Premises (SP-2013) Basic Knowledge, SharePoint Online 

Familiarity with C#, ASP. Net MVC. Experienced in JavaScript and frameworks like React/Angular, HTML, and CSS, SharePoint 2016 

Knowledge of O365 products like Team, One Drive, One Note 

Basic Knowledge of the SharePoint Migration Tool

What the day will look like

• Lead all aspects of the financial reporting for client accounts and serving as the primary contact for individuals from various departments, such as risk management, corporate controllership, tax, legal, etc.

• Drive communication & processes for client service teams in order to ensure quality and timeliness of financial reporting and regulatory filings.

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$130,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Houston,Texas

This position is eligible to participate in one of Saint Anton Hospital's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

● Strong proficiency in Android development, including Java programming and Android SDK integration.
