Job Responsibilities

As a Quality Analyst Engineer, you will be expected to:

· Thoroughly analyze project requirements, design specifications, and user stories to understand the scope and objectives.

· Arrange, set up, and configure necessary test environments for effective test case execution.

· Participate in and conduct review meetings to discuss test plans, test cases, and defect statuses.

Execute manual test cases with precision, analyze results, and identify deviations from expected behavior.

· Accurately track, log, prioritize, and manage defects through their lifecycle, ensuring clear communication with developers until resolution.

· Maintain continuous and clear communication with the Test Manager and development team regarding testing progress, roadblocks, and critical findings.

· Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive test documentation, including:

o Detailed Test Plans

o Well-structured Test Cases for various testing processes

o Concise Summary Reports on test execution and defect status

o Thorough Test Data preparation for test cases

o "Lessons Learned" documents based on testing inputs from previous projects

o "Suggestion Documents" aimed at improving overall software quality

o Clearly defined Test Scenarios

· Clearly report identified bugs to developers with precise steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results, facilitating efficient defect resolution

Mandatory Experience Requirement

• Total experience: More than 7 years in Software Testing / Quality Assurance
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing
• Experience in:
• Mobile Application Testing (Android/iOS)
• Web Application Automation
• Automation frameworks and scripting tools
• Strong understanding of QA processes and defect lifecycle management

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Prepare test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Set up and manage test environments.

Job Description:

Test Design & Execution

Design and execute detailed, well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure high-quality product releases.

Automation Development

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional and regression testing using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

Defect Management

Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution using tools like Jira, ensuring minimal impact on production releases.

API & Backend Testing

Conduct API testing using Postman, perform backend validation, and execute database testing using SQL/Oracle.

Collaboration

Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX designers in an Agile/Scrum environment to embed quality across the SDLC.

CI/CD Integration

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using platforms such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and UI testing.
• Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Familiarity with Git for version control, Jira for defect tracking, and Postman for API testing.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in mobile application testing (Android/iOS).
• Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a passionate Quality Analyst (QA) Engineer across all levels, who will work closely with the developers with agile setup to create and executes product test plans to ensure software products meet design specifications and product quality standards. Assists the Development team with process improvements to continuously improve product quality.

What you will be doing:

• Thorough understanding of requirements
• Create detailed and well-structured test plans, and test cases, and perform manual testing of web or mobile applications.
• Pencil all the software defects with severity and priority using Jira as a bug-tracking system & test management platform
• Involvement in the root cause analysis of issues.
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of the existing projects, operations, or systems
• Continuously improve customers' overall testing strategy, take part in daily stand-up meetings, provide feedback
• Follow the agile process.

What you will bring:

• Must have 2-7 years of manual testing experience including API Testing and other testing.
• Must-Have Experience with end-to-end testing.
• Experience with different types of testing such as sanity, smoke, regression, integration, cross-browser, compatibility, etc.
• Must have a good understanding of QA concepts and methodologies.
• Good understanding of the SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, test design techniques, estimation of testing, test case documentation, defect logging, and defect analysis
• Self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Added bonus if you have:

• E-commerce / ERP domain experience
• Experience with mobile application testing
• Working with Agile Methodology
• Experience with performance and load testing (JMeter etc.)

Educational Qualification:

• M.B.A/M.C.A, B.Tech/B.E (IT/Computers), B.Sc/M.Sc. (IT/Computers) or any equivalent graduation or post-graduation
