As a Test Automation Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will utilize quality processes and automation tools to enhance testing products and solutions. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement automation methodologies, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in the testing process. You will be responsible for running the end-to-end quality engineering function, focusing on automation to improve control, accuracy, and integrity in all testing activities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in testing practices.

Responsibilities:

·      Reviewing and managing the manual / automation code quality.

·      Develop & enhance Test automation framework to support different OS, Browsers etc.

Requirement:

·      Hands on expertise in both manual and automation testing.

·      Familiar with oops concepts and basic programming language.

·      Test management - Agile process, Stakeholder co-ordination, Status reporting

·      Strong expertise in Automation Framework design (Selenium+Java Framework, Rest Assured)

·      Designed, reviewed and maintained automated test scripts.

·      Developed reusable utilities to embed in framework

·      Experience in performing Software Testing and preferably Application testing

Manual Tester:

Mandatory Skills:

• Around 3-6 years experience in Manual testing complex applications
• Should be able to follow the defined test plan/strategy and perform test execution and report defects/track to closure
• Should be able to grasp the complex business domain fast and be agile in supporting the Product releases
• Experience using at least one defect management tool – JIRA, HP ALM, ADO etc.
• Software lifecycle management skills: understand the application development tasks and plan testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• MS or BS in Computer Science or a related subject.
• At least five (5+) years of web application testing and automation experience.
• Taking complete ownership of product testing efforts.
• Proficiency in Java/ Python or any other Object-Oriented Language.
• Experience of Selenium & WebServices or REST API testing or backend testing
• Ability to design and develop test automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience in CI/ CD setup preferably with Jenkin
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Expert in methodically developing use-cases-
• Expert at writing automation test cases using Selenium.
• Expert at testing the web application for both functionality and performance.
• Understands what world-class quality for SAAS Products 
• Expert at communicating the QA results with the engineering teams
• Expert at increasing visibility for blocker/critical issues.

Position Summary:

As a QA Engineer at LimeChat, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our messaging and communication applications. You will primarily focus on manual testing to identify issues, validate product functionality, and provide feedback to our development teams. Additionally, you will be involved in automation testing to enhance efficiency and test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute test cases, identify defects, and report issues accurately.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements and user expectations are met.
• Conduct manual testing of LimeChat's messaging applications to verify product functionality and user experience.
• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for both new features and regression testing.
• Participate in design and implementation reviews to provide input on potential issues.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and ensure a robust product.
• Automate test cases using testing frameworks and tools.
• Maintain and update automated test scripts as necessary.
• Execute automated test suites to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Continuously monitor the quality of our applications and participate in the release process.
• Collaborate with developers to isolate and reproduce defects for faster resolution.
• Maintain and document testing processes and procedures for reference.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with mobile and web application testing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Experience with testing APIs is a plus.

Job Description:

• Works with team to drive improvements in code quality via manual testing
• Works to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed corporate quality goals
• Delivers on capabilities for the product suite automation strategy
• Develops manual and automated test cases and configurations needed to meet testing of business requirements
• Executes test cases/scripts to ensure delivery of quality software applications, including Systems Integration, Regression, and Performance Testing 
• Generates test data to support the requirements and test case for various test phases
• Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards
• Creates logs to document testing phases and defects
• Monitors and tracks resolution of defects and takes part in daily standup 
• Designs, monitors, and analyzes quality assurance metrics such as defect, defect counts, test results, and test status
• Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative testing technologies and techniques
• Looks beyond the obvious for continuous improvement opportunities

Qualification and Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience required
• 3+ years of experience in Technology, with an emphasis on QA, and proven ability in writing test cases, running functional or performance tests, and managing defects
• Solid experience in test-driven development, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing
• Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate & report software application issues
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC and STLC
• Working knowledge of test management software like Jira
• Strong in analytical skills and should be a team player
• Competent in executing test cases and passionate about quality
• Ability to handle conflict effectively

• Lead and manage a team that:
• Reviews and refines software requirements.
• Drafts and executes test plans and test cases.
• Identifies and drafts steps to reproduce defects utilizing our defect tracking system, JIRA.
• Enters and tracks defects to closure.
• Utilizes testing tools to increase the effectiveness of testing.
• Maintains test environments that mimic our production systems.
• Maintains and updates Selenium driven UI automation test cases.
• Maintains and updates ReadyAPI API automation test cases.
• Maintains and updates manual test cases.
• Maintains and updates JMeter performance/load test cases.
• Coach, mentor, and assist the team in performing their duties as needed.
• Provide formal QA approval and reporting for each release.
• Operate within the SAFe Agile methodology.
• Coordinate with other QA teams across the company.

• Experience leading a SQA or Software Development team
• Experience managing projects and processes cross-functionally
• Comfortable working in a continually changing and dynamic environment and driving top issues to resolution
• Proven track record of attracting, hiring, motivating and developing the best quality-minded individuals
• Excellent cross-functional communication and influencing skills
• In-depth knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Java, Python, Selenium, JMeter, ReadyAPI
• Automation planning, execution, and triage for projects on multiple Platforms.
• Excellent presentation skills, distilling complex analysis and concepts into concise business-focused takeaways
• In-depth knowledge and experience in identity management including OpenID Connect, SAML2, OAuth2, and SCIM.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of application security testing.
• Unix command line scripting skills

Job Brief:

Strong experience as a Developer, QA Engineer, Software Developer in Test or similar QA role.
Minimum 1-2 years strong experience with iOS and/or Android testing frameworks (XCTest, KIF, JUnit, Espresso).
