We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have expertise in manual testing, along with a basic understanding of Selenium automation testing and Python.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform manual testing on software applications to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
• Create, maintain, and improve test frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Work together with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve software issues.
• Assist in Test Automation efforts using Selenium and Python scripts.
• Develop end-to-end testing strategies and prepare test plans through the use of quality processes and methodologies.
• Writing and executing test plans for Functional, Regression, Integration, end-to-end performance and user acceptance testing.
• Create comprehensive documentation and communicate extensively with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality product.
• Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
• Works together with the team to enhance and improve quality of the Web and Mobile apps.

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for a QA engineer experienced in writing test cases based on user stories, creating reports, testing the application from a design & usability perspective, and supporting both manual and automated testing throughout the lifecycle of the product. As a QA Engineer, you will ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our defect tracking system.

Mandatory technical skills:

• Proven working experience (Min 3 years) in software quality assurance
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box & black box testing and automated testing tools
• Technology hands-on Selenium, Javascript, and SQL Scripting is a must
• Experience with Restful API testing – Postman jetpack, RestAssured
• Experience with performance/load/stress testing
• Experience in all stages of application testing including UI, backend, functional, regression
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

Position Summary:

As a QA Engineer at LimeChat, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our messaging and communication applications. You will primarily focus on manual testing to identify issues, validate product functionality, and provide feedback to our development teams. Additionally, you will be involved in automation testing to enhance efficiency and test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute test cases, identify defects, and report issues accurately.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements and user expectations are met.
• Conduct manual testing of LimeChat's messaging applications to verify product functionality and user experience.
• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases for both new features and regression testing.
• Participate in design and implementation reviews to provide input on potential issues.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and ensure a robust product.
• Automate test cases using testing frameworks and tools.
• Maintain and update automated test scripts as necessary.
• Execute automated test suites to improve test efficiency and coverage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong emphasis on manual testing.
• Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with mobile and web application testing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Experience with testing APIs is a plus.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience of 5+ years working as a Quality Assurance Analyst
• Experience with test management tools such as Quality Centre, JIRA, ADO.
• Knowledge of automation tools like Selenium
• Knowledge of Non-Functional testing - Accessibility, Performance
• Educated to degree level, ideally in Computer Science
• ISEB certification in Testing (intermediate level) is advantageous
• Experience in participating in process change is advantageous
• Experience testing commercial websites in a creative and/or agency environment is advantageous
• Experience testing native iOS and Android applications is advantageous

About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)

Responsibilities

Excellent command of Manual Testing and Automation Testing (Any tool).

Good knowledge of UI automation using Selenium or equivalent
