QA Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mobile App QA Specialist located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The QA Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day quality control, assurance, and management of the Wizdom app. Tasks include ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, conducting quality audits, and maintaining the overall quality of the app.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, usability, performance, and compatibility testing.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through their lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers to analyze and resolve issues.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Analyze user interfaces and user experiences to ensure they meet quality standards and design guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile testing tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mobile application testing on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with various testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience with defect tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have access to both iOS and Android devices for testing purposes.
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices.

• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Having 6+ experience as a QA/SDET
• Having good knowledge on iOS/Android App based apps testing.
• Having good exposure on mobile based application testing and testing process.
• Good knowledge on backend API testing
• Good in writing manual test cases with all possible scenarios.
• Good exposure on JIRA, Zypher and QC.
• Good in debugging skills and ELK stack.
• Good to have experience in Java and automation technologies 

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

• Knowledge of the quality assurance and testing concepts, methodologies, metrics, automated testing frameworks, and documentation standards.
• Should have knowledge/experience in creating Test Plans, Test scripts, Test cases.
• Collaborate well with others. Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms.
• Preferred knowledge/understanding of different mobile operating systems (Android, iOS)
• Preferred knowledge/experience testing both front-end (GUI)and back-end (database query) applications                                                        
• Experience using Git / Github

QA Automation Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
• Previous experience working as a QA automation engineer.
• Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
• Must have worked on Selenium,Cucumber,Maven
• Familiarity with programming script languages including Java and VBScript.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good project management skills.

Job Brief:

Strong experience as a Developer, QA Engineer, Software Developer in Test or similar QA role.
Minimum 1-2 years strong experience with iOS and/or Android testing frameworks (XCTest, KIF, JUnit, Espresso).
