
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Printer Support Engineer to provide hardware and software support for our USA-based operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, configuring, and maintaining printers and print management systems to ensure minimal downtime and high service availability.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working night hours and supporting users across multiple U.S. time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Support
- Install, configure, and maintain network and standalone printers.
- Diagnose and repair printer hardware issues (paper jams, rollers, fusers, print heads, etc.).
- Perform preventive maintenance and component replacements.
- Coordinate warranty repairs and vendor escalations.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and service records.
Software & System Support
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printer drivers.
- Resolve printing issues in Windows and macOS environments.
- Configure network printers (TCP/IP, shared printers, print servers).
- Support print management and secure printing solutions.
- Assist with driver compatibility and firmware updates.
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN printing issues.
- Resolve IP conflicts, connectivity failures, and access permissions.
- Support printer integration with Active Directory and enterprise systems.
User & Ticket Support
- Log, track, and resolve incidents using ticketing systems
- Maintain documentation of recurring issues and solutions.
- Ensure timely resolution within defined service levels.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in printer hardware and software support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in printer repair and diagnostics.
- Experience with Windows OS, macOS, and basic networking.
- Willingness to work night shifts aligned with U.S. time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise printer brands such as HP, Canon, Epson, or Xerox.
- Familiarity with print servers and print management tools.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN troubleshooting.
- Experience working in SLA-driven environments.
