Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Freight Forwarding Specialist with expertise in handling US-Canada Gulf exports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, cargo handling, and export logistics. This role requires working in US shifts and managing key operations related to sea perishables and general freight movement between the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage end-to-end export operations for US-Canada Gulf shipments.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure seamless cargo movement.
• Handle documentation including Bill of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, packing lists, export declarations, and customs paperwork.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any logistical challenges.
• Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with US and Canadian trade regulations, customs laws, and export control policies.
• Manage rate negotiations with carriers and third-party logistics providers to optimize cost and efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze reports related to shipment performance, cost, and efficiency.
• Address and resolve any issues related to documentation discrepancies, delays, or carrier coordination.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or export operations.
• Strong knowledge of US-Canada trade routes, Gulf export procedures, and customs regulations.
• Experience handling sea perishables and general freight shipments is a plus.
• Proficiency in using freight management systems, ERP tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders across different time zones.
• Ability to work in US shifts (Night Shift as per US Time Zones).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle urgent shipment-related issues.
• Attention to detail in documentation and compliance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with freight forwarding companies, shipping lines, or logistics service providers.
• Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or International Trade is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Canadian customs clearance processes and NAFTA/USMCA trade agreements.

Responsibilities:

Non-Direct Routing (NDR) Optimization:

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize NDR processes, minimizing transportation costs while maintaining service levels.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, procurement, customer service) to identify NDR opportunities and -streamline order fulfillment.

- Manage carrier and logistics service provider relationships, negotiating rates, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with routing guidelines.

Reverse Logistics (RVP) Management:

- Oversee the RVP process, encompassing returns, exchanges, and product recalls, to minimize costs and maximize recovery value.

- Partner with customer service, repair, and warehouse teams to streamline RVP processes and improve customer satisfaction.

- Manage relationships with reverse logistics partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and efficient processing of returns and exchanges.

Pickup Coordination:

- Coordinate pickups from various locations (suppliers, warehouses, distribution centers) to optimize transportation efficiency and minimize costs.

- Schedule and monitor pickup activities, track shipment status, and resolve any issues or delays to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.

- Communicate pickup schedules and requirements to carriers and internal stakeholders for alignment with logistics plans.

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:

- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure logistics performance in areas like on-time - pickup/delivery, NDR utilization, and RVP processing time.

- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.

- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing process improvements, best practices, and technology solutions to enhance logistics efficiency and customer service.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

- 1-3 years of experience in logistics operations, transportation management, or a similar role.

- Proven track record of identifying and implementing logistics process improvements.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across departments.

- Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) a plus

Experience: 8 - 12 years in logistics and warehouse

• You will be responsible for the inventory management, warehousing and logistics activities associated with the distribution.
• Coordinate end to end Warehouse Operations Inbound, Outbound ,Transportation and 3PL operations
  Drive efficient processes to enhance warehouse operations
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the entire order cycle of timely booking of Orders / Invoicing / Dispatching / and providing timely dispatch details to customers and team

• Coordinate with various internal teams such as Accounting, Warehouse, Transportation and Sales Team, etc. to execute the dispatch.

• Checking and Verification of Purchase Orders, Credit Limit, Prices, Items, Eway Bills, LR Copy and other things related to dispatch.
