Role Description



The Python Support Engineer role at eShipz requires supporting clients by providing technical solutions and resolving issues related to the platform. Responsibilities include troubleshooting reported problems, delivering technical support in a professional manner, and assisting with software functionality and operating systems. The engineer will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. This is a full-time on-site role located in Sanjay Nagar, Greater Bengaluru Area.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to identify and address software or technical challenges effectively.
• Capability to provide professional Customer Support and Customer Service, ensuring high customer satisfaction and resolving inquiries promptly.
• Proficiency and knowledge of Operating Systems to diagnose and resolve platform-specific issues efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
• Experience working with Python and an understanding of backend systems is a plus.

• Technical Skill:
• Python Proficiency: Strong understanding of core Python (Data structures, decorators, generators, and exception handling).
• Frameworks: Familiarity with web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Databases: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and understanding of ORMs like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Infrastructure: Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
• Version Control: Comfortable using Git for branching, merging, and pull requests.

General Description:

Owns all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.

Participates in the design and development of systems & application programs.

Functions as Senior member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices – tools, common components, and documentation.

Required Skills:

In depth experience configuring and administering EKS clusters in AWS.

In depth experience in configuring **DataDog** in AWS environments especially in **EKS**

In depth understanding of OpenTelemetry and configuration of **OpenTelemetry Collectors**

In depth knowledge of observability concepts and strong troubleshooting experience.

Experience in implementing comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions in AWS using **CloudWatch**.

Experience in **Terraform** and Infrastructure as code.

Experience in **Helm**

Strong scripting skills in Shell and/or python.

Experience with large-scale distributed systems and architecture knowledge (Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems, networking, storage) in a cloud computing or traditional IT infrastructure environment.

Must have a good understanding of cloud concepts (Storage /compute/network).

Experience in Collaborating with several cross functional teams to architect observability pipelines for various GCP services like GKE, cloud run Big Query etc.

Experience with Git and GitHub.

Proficient in developing and maintaining technical documentation, ADRs, and runbooks.

Experience and Required Skill Sets: 

1      Solid experience in software design and development using Microsoft ASP.NET framework, C#, Visual Studio, and in writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code

2      5+ years of experience in WCF, WPF, VB.NET, SQL Server, JQuery, Angular 10 and above.

3      5+ years of experience in developing highly scalable REST/Web APIs

4      5+ years of experience in developing highly efficient SQL/NoSQL Queries

5      5+ years of experience in Relational and Document databases

6      Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and possess strong fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.

7      Experience in using the MVC framework, working knowledge in APIs, and Service Oriented Architecture

8      Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and possess strong fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.

9      Experience in Angular version 10 and above is required 

10   Expert in SQL programming & Database Design (Stored procedure, Function, Trigger, Constraints, Replication)

13   Expertise in programming and usage of any unit testing framework. Expertise in integration testing and continuous integration.
