Our client is a one-stop platform making it easier for couples to find all that they need for their dream wedding. They serve as a one-stop-shop for all the needs of a wedding function, from dates, location, clothing, vendors, photographers, catering, and gifting to assisting with traditions for every culture followed across the country.

 

The team of nearly a hundred employees is led by a husband-wife duo, with tremendous knowledge of Marketing and Economics, and experience of multiple years in the corporate world. Their website and app helps couples plan and reach out to 40000 vendors across destinations in India, and inspires them to create an event as per their yearning. Having received Series A funding of $2.6Mn recently, they are expanding their market to cover budget weddings too, in a perpetually growing industry.

 

As an Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the product's architecture, database, and servers, Research and apply best practices of software development to build a world-class product.

 

• Being involved across all aspects of the product codebase (Current and future)
• Building, leading, developing and providing hands-on leadership for Developers
• Creating clear career paths for team members to help them grow with regular and deep mentoring, attracting and retaining top talent keeping long term goals in mind
• Driving strategy and vision across teams in a rapidly evolving environment
• Providing thought partnership to the product team and ensuring collaboration among product, engineering, and business operation teams
• Driving agility in execution, creating a strong team culture of responsiveness by leading by example and owning decision making around prioritization for better predictability
• Maintaining strong partnership with product and business teams to demonstrate effective collaboration and communication across multiple stakeholders

 

• Btech/ Mtech from Premium Institute
• Strong Logical and Analytical skills.
• Extensive experience in LAMP and/ or MERN/ MEAN Stack.
• JavaScript Framework/ Library experience a bonus.
• Extensive experience in and understanding of OOPS & MVC concepts.
• Strong back-end background; Experienced in Restful APIs, DB Mgt & SQL.
• Consumer Tech Orientation.
• Excited at the problem being solved.
• Individual contributor; As well as ability to work in and eventually lead a team.
