Our engagements aim to eliminate obstacles, reduce risk, and accelerate timelines for customers transitioning to Google and seeking assistance with data and application modernization. We embed within customer teams to provide strategic guidance, facilitate technology decisions, and execute projects in a collaborative, co-development style.

As a member of our Cloud Engineering team, you will be working with fast-paced innovative companies, leveraging Cloud as the key driver of their transformation. Our clients will look to you as their trusted advisor, someone they can rely on and who will be there to help them along their Google Cloud journey. You will be expected to work a large spectrum of technology and tools including public cloud platforms, AI and LLMs, Kubernetes, data processing systems, databases, and more.

What you will do...

• Working with our clients to understand their requirements and technical challenges. Using this input you will develop a technical design for a solution and communicate the value of your solution to the client team.
• You will work to develop delivery estimates and an estimated project plan.
• You will act as the lead technical member of the implementation project team. You are responsible for making the key technical and keeping delivery on track. You should be able to unblock when things are stuck.
• Utilize a broad range of technologies such as Kubernetes, AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs), to develop scalable and efficient cloud applications.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and new technologies to drive continuous improvement in cloud solutions and practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions, from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.
• Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting to address complex technical challenges in a cloud environment.

What we need...

• 5+ years of experience working in a Software Engineering capacity
• Excellent knowledge and experience with Python, and preferably additional languages such as Go
• Strong critical thinking skills, and a bias towards problem solving
• Familiarity with implementing microservice architectures
• Fundamental skills with Kubernetes. You should be familiar with packaging and deploying your applications to k8s
• Experience building applications that work with data, databases, and other parts of the data ecosystem is preferred
• Familiarity with Generative AI workflows, frameworks like Langchain, and experience with Streamlit are all highly desirable, but at a minimum you should have a willingness to learn
• Experience deploying production workloads on the public cloud - either GCP or AWS
• Experience using CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc
• Able to work with new tools and technologies where you may not have prior experience
• Comfortable with being on video in meetings internally and with clients
• Strong English communications skills

Ideal Candidate

At least 8+ years of experience in Product design

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field

Advanced degree in UX design, HCI, or related design fields

At least 5 years of experience designing for data product or B2B SaaS experiences

At least 5 years with working with a variety of business partners and delivering outcomes

At least 5 years with familiarity with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma

At least 2 years of familiarity with working and contributing to an established design system

Key Responsibilities: 34249 

• Feature Development: Design, develop, and maintain new features and enhancements across the stack.
• Front-End: Build intuitive, responsive UIs using Angular or React.
• Back-End: Develop scalable APIs and services using Python (preferred), Java/Spring, or Node.js.
• Cloud Deployment: Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — familiarity with services like App Engine, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes is expected.
• Performance Tuning: Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards through unit testing and automation.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Collaborate on deployment pipelines using Tekton, Terraform, and other DevOps tools.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and fellow Engineers in an agile environment.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong development expertise in Python (preferred), Angular, and GCP
• Understanding of DevOps practices
• Experience with SDLC, agile methodologies, and unit testing

Good to Have (Nice-to-Haves):

• Hands-on experience with:
• Tekton, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines
• Large Language Models (LLMs) integration
• AWS/Azure (in addition to GCP)
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Familiarity with API design and microservices architecture

Educational Qualification:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications using Laravel.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate machine learning models into web platforms.
• Implement RESTful APIs to support AI-driven features and microservices.
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues across the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with Laravel and PHP development trends and technologies.

At least 5 years of experience in testing and developing automation tests.

A minimum of 3 years of experience writing tests in Python, with a preference for experience in designing automation frameworks.

Experience in developing automation for big data testing, including data ingestion, data processing, and data migration, is highly desirable.

Familiarity with Playwright or other browser application testing frameworks is a significant advantage.

Proficiency in object-oriented programming and principles is required.

Extensive knowledge of AWS services is essential.

Strong expertise in REST API testing and SQL is required.

A solid understanding of testing and development life cycle methodologies is necessary.

Knowledge of the financial industry and trading systems is a plus
