- Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company

- Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance

- Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to developer teams to build their cloud competencies

- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design

Job Description :

- Excellent understanding of Cloud Platform (AWS)

- Strong knowledge on AWS Services, design, configuration on enterprise systems

- Good knowledge on Kubernetes configuration, Dockers

- Understanding the needs of the business for defining AWS system specifications

- Understand Architecture Requirements and ensure effective support activities

- Evaluation and choosing suitable AWS Service or and suggesting methods for integration

- Overseeing assigned programs and guiding the team members

• Very good knowledge in scripting tools and languages such as Shell, Perl or Python , YAML/Groovy, build tools such as Maven/Gradle.
• Hands-on knowledge in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Good knowledge in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet/Chef and have worked on setting up of monitoring tools (Splunk/Geneos/New Relic/Elk).
•             Expertise in job schedulers/workload automation tools such as Control-M or AutoSys is good to have.
• Hands-on knowledge on Cloud technology (preferably GCP) including various computing services and infrastructure setup using Terraform.

• Should have basic understanding on networking, certificate management, Identity and Access Management and Information security/encryption concepts.
• •             Should support day-to-day tasks related to platform and environments upkeep such as upgrades, patching, migration and system/interfaces integration.

We are looking for experienced DevOps Engineers to join our Engineering team. The candidate will be working with our engineers and interact with the tech team for high quality web applications for a product.

Required Experience

• Devops Engineer with 2+ years of experience in development and production operations supporting for Linux & Windows based applications and Cloud deployments (AWS/GC stack)
• Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Pipeline
• Exposure to managing LAMP stack-based applications
• Experience Resource provisioning automation using tools such as CloudFormation, terraform and ARM Templates.
• Experience in working closely with clients, understanding their requirements, design and implement quality solutions to meet their needs.
• Ability to take ownership on the carried-out work
• Experience coordinating with rest of the team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Deployment, management, and administration of web services in a public cloud environment
2. Design and develop solutions for deploying highly secure, highly available, performant and scalable services in elastically provisioned environments
3. Design and develop continuous integration and continuous deployment solutions from development through production
4. Own all operational aspects of running web services including automation, monitoring and alerting, reliability and performance
5. Have direct impact on running a business by thinking about innovative solutions to operational problems
6. Drive solutions and communication for production impacting incidents
7. Running technical projects and being responsible for project-level deliveries
8. Partner well with engineering and business teams across continents

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or closely related field
2. 4 - 6 years professional experience in DevOps, with at least 1/2 years in Linux / Unix
3. Very strong in core CS concepts around operating systems, networks, and systems architecture including web services
4. Strong scripting experience in Python and Bash
5. Deep experience administering, running and deploying AWS based services
6. Solid experience with Terraform, Packer and Docker or their equivalents
7. Knowledge of security protocols and certificate infrastructure.
8. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills 
9. Broad experience with cloud hosted applications including virtualization platforms, relational and non relational data stores, reverse proxies, and orchestration platforms
10. Curiosity, continuous learning and drive to continually raise the bar
11. Strong partnering and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

1. Past experience as a senior developer or application architect strongly preferred.
2. Experience building continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
3. Experience with Zookeeper, Consul, HAProxy, ELK-Stack, Kafka, PostgreSQL.
4. Experience working with, and preferably designing, a system compliant to any security framework (PCI DSS, ISO 27000, HIPPA, SOC 2, ...)
5. Experience with AWS orchestration services such as ECS and EKS.
6. Experience working with AWS ML pipeline services like AWS Sagemak

• Work towards improving the following 4 verticals - scalability, availability, security, and cost, for company's workflows and products.
• Help in provisioning, managing, optimizing cloud infrastructure in AWS (IAM, EC2, RDS, CloudFront, S3, ECS, Lambda, ELK etc.)
• Work with the development teams to design scalable, robust systems using cloud architecture for both 0-to-1 and 1-to-100 products.
• Drive technical initiatives and architectural service improvements.
• Be able to predict problems and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.
• Mentor/manage a team of engineers.
• Design solutions with failure scenarios in mind to ensure reliability.
• Document rigorously to keep track of all changes/upgrades to the infrastructure and as well share knowledge with the rest of the team
• Identify vulnerabilities during development with actionable information to empower developers to remediate vulnerabilities
• Automate the build and testing processes to consistently integrate code
• Manage changes to documents, software, images, large web sites, and other collections of code, configuration, and metadata among disparate teams
