We are seeking an experienced L&D Specialist to join our team. The Technical L&D Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training sessions on various technical topics, ensuring that participants understand the subject matter deeply.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create Training Materials: Develop comprehensive training materials, including presentations, hands-on exercises, and assessments, tailored to the audience's needs.
- Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver engaging and informative in-person training sessions, ensuring participants grasp complex technical concepts and acquire practical skills.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise in relevant technologies, such as PHP, .NET, Linux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS,. and Net and stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.
- Evaluate and Customize Training: Assess participants' skill levels and learning needs to customize training programs accordingly.
- Feedback and Improvement: Solicit and provide constructive feedback to participants, assess training effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to improve the learning experience.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest industry trends and advancements to continuously improve training programs.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Technical Trainer or in a similar role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Training Tools: Experience with training tools/platforms, such as Learning Management Systems, is desirable.

Vision and Strategy:
Develop and communicate a clear vision for the Innovation Labs, aligning with the institution’s strategic objectives.
Set strategic goals for the lab, including defining key areas of focus, innovation strategies, and research priorities.
Ensure the labs activities contribute to the broader academic and research missions of the institution.
Leadership and Management:
Lead and manage a team of stream leaders, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Drive a culture of "learning by doing", encouraging students and mentors to engage in hands-on, experiential learning. Impact key outcomes like placements, hackathon wins, patents etc.
Oversee the labs operations, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and managed to support its goals.
Ensure that the academia-innovation labs gap is bridged.
Innovation Lab - Industry Interface:
Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, facilitating collaborations that enhance the labs research and innovation projects.
Serve as a key liaison between the lab and academic departments, promoting interdisciplinary industry relevant research and learning opportunities.
Lead initiatives to secure funding, sponsorship, and partnerships that support the labs activities and growth.
Brand Ambassador and Thought Leadership:
Act as a brand ambassador and thought leader, representing the Innovation Labs at conferences, seminars, and public forums.
Promote the labs achievements and projects through various channels, enhancing its reputation and visibility.
Foster a network of alumni, industry leaders, and academic peers to support and engage
with the labs work.
Mentorship and Role Modeling:
Serve as a mentor and role model for students and mentors, inspiring them to pursue innovation and excellence.
Encourage the development of leadership skills among lab members, particularly stream leaders and emerging talents.
Support a learning environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and personal growth.
Skills and Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business
Administration) or equivalent experience in innovation management.
Proven leadership experience in managing research or innovation labs, particularly in an academic or similar setting.
Deep technical expertise in AI/ML and/or embedded systems with a passion for continuous learning.
Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
Excellent relationship-building skills, with experience in academia-industry partnerships.

Backlog Create: Work with cross functional teams to breakdown the quarterly objectives into tasks and create backlog in Jira
Groom: Review the backlog regularly for each product / team and keep the items up-to-date and prioritized
Planning: From the backlog create sprint plans for all our products and cross functional teams every two weeks
Estimation: Ensure all the tasks in sprint have assignments, estimates added in Jira and the time spent is recorded
