Curious about the role? What your typical day would look like?

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for Application Engineering capability, designing and developing web applications, and managing small teams of App engineers In doing so, you will closely collaborate with program leads and technology architects across global locations.

More specifically, you might:

• Collaborate with business analysts and technical managers to understand functional, and non-functional requirements, and scope.
• Design and develop multi-tier, cloud-native, high-performance, and scalable solutions
• Indulge in applying benchmarking software engineering principles and design patterns to build robust world-class solutions.
• Direct cross-functional agile teams as a leader across the software development lifecycle
• Analyse design alternatives using proofs-of-concept, and engage with architects to choose the best optimal solutions
• Obsess about writing high-quality code and performing reviews of the design and code.
• Interact and collaborate with project/program managers to estimate, plan, and reduce technical concerns at the module or project level.
• Ideate with your peers, support their work, and provide constructive feedback on their solutions.
• Try to get to the heart of the problem by closely liaising with customers and getting to the heart of what's working and what's not.

What do we expect? 

• 8+ years of experience
• A passion to write clean yet simple programs using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• A drive to create basic, uncluttered programs using Java / .Net core / Python with Django or Flask.

• Keen interest in creating web frameworks like Angular / React JS 
• A comprehensive foundation using object-oriented and functional programming languages. 
• Wide-ranging knowledge in web server technologies - Node.js / Nginx
• Exposure to Cloud environments - AWS / Azure / GCP
• Good understanding of working with API design and development

•  Expertise in implementing and managing Devops CI/CD pipeline. ( either using Jenkins or Azure DevOps ) 
• At least one AWS or Azure Certification
• Terraform Scripting
•  Hands-on experience with git and source code management and release management.
• Experience in DevOps automation tools. And Very well versed with DevOps principles and the Agile Frameworks.
• Working knowledge of scripting using shell, Python, Gradle, Yaml, Ansible or puppet or chef.
• Working knowledge of build systems for various technologies like npm, maven etc. 
• Experience and good understanding in any of Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google cloud.
• Hands on Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is required.
• Proficient in troubleshooting skills with proven abilities in resolving complex technical issues. Experience with working with ticketing tools (Jira & Service now)
• A programming language like Java, Go , NodeJS is a nice to have.

• Work Permit for United Kingdom ( tier 2 visa ) total duration of visa will be 5 years ( first 2 years and then 3 year extension) 
• At the end of the 5 years you will be eligible for British Citizenship by applying for Indefinite leave to remain in the UK

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or in any related engineering discipline.
2. (2-4) years of experience in building scalable web applications.
3. Backend Maverick with proficiency in Java
4. Experience in requirement analysis, failure analysis, API design, distributed
5. Experience with React.js and modern JavaScript libraries and tooling.
