Data Engineer

Position: Finance Lead

We are a YCombinator, Sequoia & GFC-funded startup building digital solutions for women with chronic health conditions in India. Our mission is to combine the power of medicine, nutrition and telehealth to treat chronic conditions. We've started by treating PCOS, a chronic condition that affects 100 million women in India alone.

Here, you will be working directly with a world-class team (McKinsey, UnitedHealth, GlaxoSmithKline, Accenture, Wharton alumni) to improve lives for millions of women. Most of all, you will be part of a mission-driven company that believes in providing equal access to high-quality healthcare for those traditionally underserved. As a Finance Lead, you will be expected represent the company’s financial statements in the most accurate manner for taking appropriate marketing decisions and understanding the P&L status of the organisation

Responsibilities:

MIS (Internal & External)

1. Collate the incoming revenues through all sources namely sales, renewals, supplement sales, Ecommerce sales and keep the revenue data update on a timely basis.
2. Collate all the expenses and outgoings in an organised manner.
3. Ensure that all expenses/outgoings are properly supported by invoices and necessary approvals.
4. Prepare and maintain Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts and analyze financial performance.
5. Prepare and publish MIS reports for management, founders, investors and other stakeholders to support decision making.

Payments & Compliances

1. Ensure timely payouts to Doctors/Vendors.
2. Ensure timely Statutory payments like TDS, PF, PT and filing of GST /TDS returns etc.
3. Verify the revenues earned by Sales and Services team for disbursing their incentives.
4. Advise and ensure legal compliances with respect to Company's business.

Budgeting and Forecasting

1. Periodically prepare Revenue and Expenses estimates and assist in Budgeting and forecasting.
2. Conduct Revenue and cost analysis and advise on burn reduction and business process efficiencies.

Audits

1. SPOC for internal and External audits and ensure correctness of data at all times.

Dashboards

1. Publish monthly Dashboards for investors founders and marketing team’s review and decision making.

Vendor & Inventory Management

1. Coordinate with vendors on stock procurement, inventory replenishment, invoice verification, account reconciliations, payment follow-ups, and resolution of inventory and operational issues.
2. Manage inventory records, monitor stock movements, perform periodic inventory reconciliations, and ensure accurate inventory reporting.

Miscellaneous

1. SPOC for all Bank related.
2. Coordinate with external accounting firm, and CA firm.
3. Will be incharge for all Finance related and such other tasks assigned by the founders.

Qualifications:

• BCom is mandatory. MCom will be preferred
• At least 3 of experience corporate experience
• Proficient in Excel, knowledge of CRM tools
• Keeping abreast of all relevant taxation related rules
• Experience of working in startups would be preferred Top of Form Bottom of Form

• Development of Object (ABAP application).

About First Principles

Job Description:

We at First Principles are looking for a trustworthy and proactive WordPress Developer with minimum 3 years of Web Development experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Designing and implementing new features and functionality
2. Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
3. Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
4. Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
5. Requirement analysis and discussion with Stakeholders
6. Provide user experience based on UX design principles

Requirement & Skills :

1. Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
2. Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
3. Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
4. Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
5. Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
6. Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
7. Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML, GraphQL)
8. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git
9. Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
10. 3+ years of experience as Wordpress developer
11. Experience in Digital Marketing Agencies/Studio

• Handling the development of new webpages and changes to website design and infrastructure if any
• Working with various stakeholders to define the objectives that will drive the most meaningful impact needed to execute them
• Developing and maintaining web development processes and standards
• Proposing and evaluating innovative solutions and ideas, and implementing them
• Creating detailed technical tasks list and providing technical guidance to the team
• Ensuring project requirements are delivered on time within budget and meeting quality objectives

What you need to have:

• 6 to 9 years experience as a website developer
• Experience in handling a team
• Good understanding of banking business processes
• Good knowledge of PHP, CSS, bootstrap, Angular 8 or above
• Knowledge of RDMS
• Hands-on experience in Javascript
• Good communication skills
