Responsibilities
- Writing a variety of content types, including blog posts, case studies, white papers, thought leadership editorials, marketing emails, and website content
- Editing the content types we just mentioned
- Conducting extensive customer research to identify pain points and the right language to describe them
- Testing out plugins and products to understand how they function in order to write better articles
- Planning article structures to address reader intent thoroughly
- Working with the SEO team to optimize old blog articles for improvement and constantly monitoring those improvements
- Working with engineers to understand the product and then write about it in a manner that drives home the value of the product
- Creating briefs for graphic designers communicating how you envision the features images, infographics, pie charts, and other types of graphics
Skills and experience
- 1-4 years of writing experience
- You should have excellent time management skills where you can juggle multiple tasks, projects in different stages of completion, and prioritize to meet deadlines
- You know how to find a balance between meeting deadlines and producing quality content
- You have experience with WordPress which includes creating a WordPress site, knowing how to publish content on the platform, and trying out new plugins and themes
- You can edit articles by other writers and help improve them to meet our standard
- You know about on-page SEO and can implement it on your blogs and website content
- You know how to analyze results from Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Bonus points if you are familiar with basic HTML

- Take ownership of copywriting function within the content marketing team and manage it to a very high standard
- (Write and edit) crisp and engaging ad copies and video scripts for search, social media, YouTube, and Product marketing activities
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of campaign objectives, offer creative ideas, and devise strategies to achieve them
- Understand target audience personas and their preferences to create engaging journeys that encourage interaction with the website, are forward-thinking, and are in line with current trends.
- Review copy, lead campaign, and copy ideation, continually improve quality of writing, and ensure all-around consistency (style, tone, fonts, and images) in the communication across channels.
- Analyze campaign performance in conjunction with members of other marketing teams to set benchmarks and continually streamline copywriting practices for enhanced quality and business outcomes.
