Role Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Senior Power BI Analyst / Developer to design, build, and optimize our next-generation enterprise analytics platform. In this role, you will be the core architect of our data visualization layer, turning complex data streams into actionable executive insights.

The ideal candidate bridges the gap between traditional business intelligence and modern cloud data engineering. You will be responsible for building highly performant, scalable data models on Azure and creating seamless, near real-time reporting solutions utilizing streaming data and Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advanced Data Modeling & Performance Tuning

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade, highly scalable data models (Star and Snowflake schemas) within Power BI and Azure Analysis Services/Fabric.

Optimize complex DAX queries, M code, and data loading processes to ensure sub-second dashboard responsiveness on large-scale datasets.

Implement advanced performance-tuning strategies, including aggregations, incremental refreshing, and hybrid tables (combining Import and DirectQuery).

2. Streaming Analytics & Real-Time Reporting

Architect and implement near real-time dashboards utilizing Power BI streaming datasets, push datasets, and automatic page refreshes.

Integrate reporting front-ends with modern Change Data Capture (CDC) architectures to surface low-latency transactional updates.

Partner with data engineering teams to ingest and model fast-moving event data coming from cloud streams into analytical reporting structures.

3. Azure Architecture Integration

Leverage the Azure data stack (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL DB) to build robust downstream reporting layers.

Participate in the orchestration of data pipelines (using Azure Data Factory or Synapse pipelines) to align with dashboard refresh schedules.

Embrace modern Power BI developer workflows using Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit, DAX Studio, and Git integration for version control.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 3-5+ years of dedicated experience developing, modeling, and tuning enterprise Power BI solutions, with at least 2+ years operating within an Azure cloud ecosystem.

Expert DAX & Power Query: Mastery of complex DAX computations (time-intelligence, advanced filtering) and optimized M-code data transformations.

Modern Data Paradigms: Proven experience handling Streaming Data or CDC (Change Data Capture) patterns (e.g., streaming from Debezium, Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or Synapse Link) into Power BI.

Azure Stack Expertise: Solid working knowledge of Azure data resources (Synapse, Data Factory, Azure SQL, or Azure Fabric Lakehouses).

Data Engineering Concepts: Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including slowly changing dimensions (SCDs), partitioning, and indexing strategies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

Microsoft Certifications: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer).

Experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines for Power BI deployment pipelines or Azure DevOps.

Familiarity with SQL performance tuning (analyzing execution plans, optimizing views, and indexing).

About the Role

This role is the bridge between the Accounting Department and the IT Department. You will lead the implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance module, ensuring that business processes like invoicing, tax reporting, and project costing are perfectly translated into the system. You are the "Subject Matter Expert" who makes sure the books balance at the end of the month.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Mapping: Lead workshops to understand how the client’s finance team works and document those needs.
• System Configuration: Hands-on setup of core modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash & Bank.
• Project Financials: Manage complex processes like revenue recognition, billing models, and intercompany accounting.
• Documentation: Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) that tell the developers what to build.
• Execution: Lead the team through testing (SIT/UAT), help validate data migration, and provide support during the high-pressure "Go-Live" phase.
• Training: Teach the end-users how to use the new system effectively.

Required SkillsFunctional & Technical Skills

• Core Product: Expert knowledge of D365 Finance.
• Accounting Logic: Deep understanding of accounting principles (Work-in-Progress, Revenue Rec, Ledger Posting).
• Lifecycle Experience: Must have seen at least 2-3 full implementations from start to finish.

Good to Have / Preferred

• Project Operations: Experience with the D365 Project Operations integration.
• Regional Experience: Experience with tax and compliance for the APAC region.
• Environment Mastery: Experience managing multi-entity and multi-currency setups.
• Background: Experience working for a Tier-1 System Integrator (SI) or Consulting firm.

Qualification

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com/MBA Finance).
• Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310) is highly preferred.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

• Handle a portfolio of projects and clients in parallel from Fortune 1000 companies and across geographies.
• Plan for a quarter ahead and develop an execution plan for projects and people in the team. Need to be ahead of both client and internal resources in planning and execution.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with product delivery, the sales team, client and account managers.
• Make sure that the projects are achieving promised business value/RoI and figure out ways to achieve it if there is a gap.
• Build Rapport with clients and manage those effectively, high end consulting touch would be required
• Manage escalations, variations, complexities in projects effectively.
• Able to effectively use the established frameworks in project execution, client handling, resource utilization, resource mentoring etc.
• Directly supervises functional consultants, solution architects; conducts employee performance reviews/evaluations and career development discussions
• Manage up- Make sure to keep the higher management honest and able to strike a right balance between issues/items that are to be escalated vs that are to be handled.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree (preferably from a top reputed university) 
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with small and large groups
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand Fortune 1000 client business complexities and handle those

Experience:

• Overall 8+  years of professional services experience with extensive experience in customer facing  roles and involved in requirements gathering, gap analysis, feasibility study etc.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Project manager or equivalent role demonstrating management and leadership experience, preferably in a fast paced consulting / professional services set-up.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing large portfolio, leading cross-functional teams and tracking the project progress against the plans
• Experience in leading and mentoring people as part of the project life cycle.
• Experience in following the established processes/standards/templates to achieve successful results.
• Experience with Invoice-to-Cash related business process is desirable

What Youll Do:

• Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
• Provide configurations, troubleshooting and best practices to customers
• Manage support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow-ups are completed in a timely manner
• Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
• Publish Technical Support Bulletins and other technical documentation in the Knowledge Base
• Review of technical documentation for training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports
• Follow the SLA for issues with respect to their severity.

What You ll Need:

• Bachelor s or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
• Willing to work flexible and varying shift times including weekends and evenings
• 2 years of software development experience with java, javascript, python, or another scripting/programming languages
• Previous experience in a Technical Support environment is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for customers and problem-solving, desire to go deep and become familiar with the customer s technical and business environment
• Comfortable in a startup environment, we move quickly and wear many hats in a dynamic environment
• Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution
• Familiarity with Zendesk, Jira, and Confluence is advantageous.
