Job Description:

The Senior System Engineer will have expertise in managing both Linux and Windows environments, along with hands-on experience in containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Proficiency in Ansible for automation and configuration management is essential. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation, deployment, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has to oversee and participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, optimization and documentation of all network hardware and software. This includes managing multiple projects, planning network technology roadmaps and configuring/optimizing network services both internally and those integrated with Internet-based services

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage, maintain, and monitor Linux and Windows servers to ensure high availability and performance.

· Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning for both operating systems and DBA servers.

· Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker.

· Design and implement Kubernetes clusters to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.

· Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation of repetitive tasks, configuration management,

and system provisioning.

· Implement security best practices for both Linux and Windows environments.

· Set up and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems and data.

· Work closely with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot application issues.

· Manage VM Ware in a high availability environment with Disaster Recovery

· Good experience in RAID & Firewall

· Maintaining and managing SQL database server support

· Experience with scripting languages Unix/Shell, Bash or PowerShell

· Assist Quality Assurance with testing program changes, new releases or user documentation and support

new product release activities that include testing customer flows

· Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and is required to participate in on-call rotation, which

includes different shift timings, weekends, and holidays

· Work across multiple time zones with remote team members

· Perform other duties as deemed necessary to provide quality service to the clients

Experience and Skills Required:

· Minimum 4+ years of experience in Linux and Windows administration

· 3 years of experience in VM Ware in a high availability environment with Disaster Recovery

· Good experience in RAID & Firewall

· 2+ years of experience in SQL database server support

· Ability to quickly acquire an in-depth knowledge of multiple custom applications

· Experience in setting up IT policies based on best practices and monitoring them

· Experience in shell scripting and automating tasks

· Experience in hardware and software monitoring tools

· Experience in administration and best practices for Apache and Tomcat

· Experience in handling Cisco router and firewall configurations and management

· Working knowledge on SQL Server, Oracle and other RDBMS databases

· Must be proactive and possess strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills

· Must possess excellent written and verbal presentation skills

· Must be self-motivated

· Certification in Linux/Windows administration is preferable.

Academics:

· Bachelor's / Master's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

The Engineer within the Enterprise Risk function will manage complex data engineering, analysis, and programming tasks in support of the execution of the Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit activities and projects as defined by the Enterprise Risk Analytics leadership team. The Engineer will manage and streamline data extraction, transformation, and load processes, design use cases, analyze data, and apply creativity and data science techniques to deliver effective and efficient solutions enabling greater risk intelligence and insights.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

• Acquire, transform, and manage data supporting risk and control-related activities
• Design, build, and maintain data analytics and data science tools supporting individual tasks and projects.
• Maintain programming code, software packages, and databases to support ongoing analytics activities.
• Exercise judgment in determining the application of data analytics for business processes, including the identification and location of data sources.
• Actively discover data analytics capabilities within the firm and leverage such capabilities where possible.
• Introduce new data analytics-related tools and technologies to business partners and consumers.
• Support business partners, data analysts, consumers’ understanding of product logic and related system processes
• Share learnings and alternative techniques with other Engineers and Data Analysts.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Enterprise Risk Analytics leadership team and other leaders across Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit.
• Actively contribute to developing a culture of innovation within the department and risk and control awareness throughout the organization.
• Keep Head of Data Science & Engineering and departmental leadership informed of activities.
  
  

Work Experience / Knowledge:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, data management, software development or data-related risk management roles; previous experience in programming will be considered.
• Experience within the financial services sector preferred
  
  

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

• Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify, design, and deliver solutions based on high level objectives and detailed requirements. Thoroughly identify and investigate issues and determine the appropriate course of action
• Excellent in code development supporting data analytics and visualization, preferably programming languages and libraries such as JavaScript, R, Python, NextUI, ReactUI, Shiny, Streamlit, Plotly and D3.js
• Excellent with data extraction, transformation, and load processes (ETL), structured query language (SQL), and database management. 
• Strong self-learner to continuously develop new technical capabilities to become more efficient and productive
• Experience using end user data analytics software such as Tableau, PowerBI, SAS, and Excel a plus
• Proficient with various disciplines of data science, such as machine learning, natural language processing and network science
• Experience with end-to-end implementation of web applications on AWS, including using services such as EC2, EKS, RDS, ALB, Route53 and Airflow a plus
• Self-starter and motivated; must be able to work without frequent direct supervision
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

 This is an individual contributor role in a high performance target-driven sales environment that emphasizes on selling unique programs designed for children in ages 6-14 years. Your role will start with contacting parents over the phone and convincing them to enrol their children to WizKlub programs.  Candidates should be willing to talk to 60-70 customers everyday over the phone - video calling pitching WizKlub programs and regular sales follow-ups to drive admissions / sales.  Candidates will be taking up revenue responsibility to drive 5-7 lakh revenue (Sales) per month. Prefer candidates who have worked on revenue targets in the earlier organizations.  Should be working 6 days a week, Mondays week-off.  Should be able to build rapport with customers (Parents) by understanding Customer profile & problems to explain the implication of ineffective learning methods and explain the benefits of WizKlub programs.
