Key Responsibilities:
● Node.js Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users.
● Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
● You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
● Strong proficiency with JavaScript
● Knowledge of Node.js core and frameworks Express, StrongLoop, koa, hapi etc
● Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
● Good understanding of server-side templating languages
● Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors
● Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
● Understanding accessibility and security compliance
● Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
● Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

• 2-7 years of total experience in Product Development.

• BE/BTech or any relevant degree with a background in consumer internet products
• 2-4 years’ experience delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them - you’re extremely proud of what you’ve accomplished

• Finger-tippiness with data: you just go get the data you need with no muss/fuss and can whip it into an insightful story with no help. You know how to leverage data to make decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis.
• Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.

• Hands on experience on MS Excel is preferred.
• Most importantly, you should be fun to work with.

• You’ll be responsible for absorbing all the complexities of the domain and make simple, elegant and polished products for our users. You’ll have to learn and unlearn fast across domains.
• You’ll be working closely with the engineers, designers and analysts who care deeply about their product. You should be able to quickly build rapport with them. Persuasiveness is more valued here than authority.
• You’ll be owning product charters and would be responsible for every delivery. Your product charter will change as we evolve.
• You should be able to understand macro changes in the market and identify potential opportunities and risks. You should be able to plan features in smaller sprints while keeping an eye on the larger vision.
• You’ll be extremely meticulous and prudent in testing every feature that goes out. We ship high quality software.
• You’ll be the internal evangelist of the product who will go to everyone and help them understand why we should build a feature.
