Qualifications

Required Skills

Advanced knowledge of 3D AutoCAD and SolidWorks

Strong experience in pipeline design using SolidWorks

Experience in fabrication design of vessels and process equipment

Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME / API / TEMA / PED

Ability to prepare and review Bill of Materials (BOM)

Good analytical, problem-solving, and design validation skills

Effective communication and coordination abilities

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D models and design drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Preparation of assembly, sub-assembly, component, and pipeline drawings

Design and detailed engineering of equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Columns, Heat

Exchangers, and Storage Tanks

Preparation of mechanical data sheets

Ensure designs are cost-effective and optimized for manufacturing

Generate and verify Bill of Materials (BOM) from SolidWorks

Review and check fabrication drawings and design outputs

Coordinate with internal departments and clients for design-related requirements

Prepare plant layouts and complete system designs in SolidWorks

Analyze specifications, sketches, and technical data to determine design requirements

 Modify and revise designs to improve performance and resolve production issues

Job Description:

We are seeking Electrical Design Engineers with strong experience in detailed engineering and design for EPC projects in the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Pharma, and Chemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

 Perform detailed engineering and design of electrical systems in line with project specifications, codes, and standards.

 Develop and review single line diagrams (SLD), load schedules, cable sizing, earthing and lighting layouts.

 Prepare specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment like transformers, switchgears, MCCs, UPS, VFDs, etc.

 Coordinate with other disciplines (Instrumentation, Civil, Mechanical, Process) for integrated design solutions.

 Carry out cable routing, cable tray layouts, lighting, and earthing drawings using CAD tools.

 Interface with vendors for technical evaluation and review of electrical packages.

 Support procurement team in vendor document reviews and approvals.

 Ensure compliance with safety standards, IS/IEC/IEEE/NEC and relevant client specifications.

 Participate in site surveys, FAT/SAT, and provide construction and commissioning support as needed.

Key Skills & Competencies:

 Strong knowledge of electrical system design for hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx).

 Hands-on experience in ETAP or similar electrical design software is preferred.

 Familiar with international and Indian standards (IEC, IS, IEEE, NEC).

 Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

 Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering calculation tools.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification in AutoCAD and/or Tekla Structures.
• Strong understanding of structural design concepts.
• Prior experience in modeling PEB Buildings, Hi-Rise Buildings, Cranes, or Transfer Trolleys is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Requirements 

Essential qualifications: 

∙Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical Engineering from a 

recognized University. 

∙Minimum 5-8 years’ relevant design experience in dry utilities engineering 

environment with Vendors, Contractors or Design Consultancies in 

infrastructure projects. 

∙Middle east projects work experience in dry utilities.  

∙Knowledge of IEC/IEEE Standards 

∙Well aware of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Power distribution and 

planning.  

∙Working knowledge of software Civil 3D, ETAP, AUTO CAD and Dialux. 

∙Well aware of using Dialux software for outdoor street lighting calculation. 

∙Well aware of Pump Stations Electrical design works  

∙Able to independently work on project deliverables from base design stage to 

detailed designs. 

∙Excellent English communication skills within the engineering environment 

Desired qualifications: 

∙Demonstrable track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction 

within the infrastructure projects (Dry utilities). 

∙Ability to apply technical knowledge in analysing problems and creating 

solutions. 

∙Willingness to travel to Middle East and African Countries for short term
