Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI Engineer with deep expertise in computer vision and architectural design. The ideal candidate will lead the development of robust, scalable AI systems, drive architectural decisions, and contribute significantly to the deployment of real-time video analytics, multi-model systems, and intelligent automation

solutions.

Key Responsibilities

 Design and lead the architecture of complex AI systems in the domain of computer vision and real-time inference.

 Build and deploy models for object detection, image segmentation, classification, and tracking.

 Mentor and guide junior engineers on deep learning best practices and scalable software engineering.

 Drive end-to-end ML pipelines: from data ingestion and augmentation to training, deployment, and monitoring.

 Work with YOLO-based and transformer-based models for industrial use-cases.

 Lead integration of AI systems into production with hardware, backend, and DevOps teams.

 Develop automated benchmarking, annotation, and evaluation tools.

 Ensure maintainability, scalability, and reproducibility of models through version control, CI/CD, and containerization.

Required Skills

 Advanced proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).

 Strong experience with YOLO, segmentation networks (UNet, Mask R-CNN), and

tracking (Deep SORT).

 Sound understanding of real-time video analytics and inference optimization.

 Hands-on experience designing model pipelines using Docker, Git, MLflow, or similar tools.

 Familiarity with OpenCV, NumPy, and image processing techniques.

 Proficiency in deploying models on Linux systems with GPU or edge devices (Jetson, Coral)

Good to Have

 Experience with multi-model orchestration, streaming inference (DeepStream), or virtual camera inputs.

 Exposure to production-level MLOps practices.

 Knowledge of cloud-based deployment on AWS, GCP, or DigitalOcean.

 Familiarity with synthetic data generation, augmentation libraries, and 3D modeling tools.

 Publications, patents, or open-source contributions in the AI/ML space.

Qualifications

 B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

 4+ years of proven experience in AI/ML with a focus on computer vision and system- level design.

 Strong portfolio or demonstrable projects in production environments

SuperK is a well-funded early-stage startup that offers a full-stack solution to empower small format retail stores in Tier 2 and below towns. SuperK is rebranding existing small format retail stores and providing them with the benefits of procurement, tech systems, intelligence, and marketing at scale to create a chain of mini supermarkets. Some parallels can be drawn to how Oyo has transformed the small hotel industry, Medplus & Apollo have changed pharma retail and BigC & others have changed offline mobile buying.

What you will be doing

• Working closely with the Engineering lead to contribute to deciding the backend as well as frontend system architecture for products used by consumers, retailers, and other stakeholders.
• Stay informed about the product strategy; evaluate the feasibility of solutions proposed by PMs, estimate development effort, and help in planning the roadmap and individual features.
• Building the blocks of the entire system across multiple products on your own from the ground up with the freedom to try new things.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other developers to meet the timelines.
• Built systems that scale through software, contributing to the architecture and design.

What we would like to see in you

• 2-4 years of relevant experience as a full-stack engineer who has owned the entire stack of a product or a major module.
• Strong programming expertise in any of the JavaScript frameworks like NodeJS, ExpressJs, or Python frameworks like Django.
• Strong computer science fundamentals in OOPs, DS algorithm design and time complexity analysis.
• Experience in writing REST APIs
• Good understanding of relational databases and networking systems.
• Proficiency with at least one Object Oriented language(e.g Java, Python)
• Exposure to Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment
• High enthusiasm and self-drive to build systems from the ground up.
• Focus on things that work compared to traditional conventions.

• Experience with connecting or consuming API's (REST, SOAP, GRAPHQL)
• IPAAS/ETL experience is a huge plus. 
• An understanding of basic scripting. PHP is a plus
• Data modelling/data architecture/data warehousing experience
• Familiarity with CRM platforms
• Self-motivated, proactive team player Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related technical field

• Engage with Customer and Partner technical staff and developers to identify requirements
• Design their technical architecture and data model
• Assist & implement integrations, on-boarding, and deployment
• Verify the integrated solution with configuration audits and provide long-term support
• Onboard new customers for faster time-to-value
• Gather customer requirements, systems, data model, and custom metrics
• Recommend best-practice approaches
• Assist in other testing / QA activities in support of getting customers live
• Respond to Customer Support Service Requests and Escalations
• Maintain high customer satisfaction
• Partner with cross-functional teams
• Work with Product Management, Support, and Engineering to translate Customer business needs and product feedback into new solutions
• Assist the Sales teams in setting up prospective customers for success in on-boarding
• Act as a thought leader and Blendr advocate in webinars, blog postings, and speaking events
• Exhibit diplomacy, tact, and poise when working through customer issues and escalations
