Web Developer (Chrome extension & Plugins)

Role Overview:

Responsible for leading all HR functions at the plant, including manpower planning, recruitment, industrial relations, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and coordination with corporate HR. Ensures smooth HR operations supporting plant productivity and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead HR operations 

• Partner with operations leadership to align manpower with production targets.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for staff, operators, and technical positions.

• Develop and implement HR policies and systems aligned with corporate standards.

• Drive performance management, appraisals, and competency mapping.

• Handle industrial relations, grievance redressal, and union communication (if applicable).

• Ensure statutory compliance – Factories Act, ESI, PF, labour laws, etc.

• Oversee time office, attendance, and payroll coordination.

• Lead employee engagement, retention, and welfare initiatives.

• Coordinate with finance for cost tracking and HR budgeting.

• Mentor and guide junior HR staff at the plant.

• Design and develop robust, high-performance backend solutions using Python and related technologies.
• Lead the architecture and design discussions for major backend components and services.

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their technical growth.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and technical issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and agile development processes.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our backend systems.
• Drive the adoption of coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks like Django and Flask.
• In-depth knowledge of database systems, both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, etc. ).
• Proven track record of designing and developing scalable and maintainable backend services.
• Experience with RESTful API design and best practices.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design principles, and software development lifecycle.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e. g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

1. WordPress Theme and Plugin Development:

• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.
• Ensure the compatibility and responsiveness of websites across various devices.

1. Website Design and Layout:

• Collaborate with designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly website designs.
• Optimize website layout for maximum usability and user experience.

1. Content Management:

• Set up and manage content within WordPress, ensuring it is well-structured and easily maintainable.
• Provide training and support to clients on content management best practices.

1. Website Maintenance and Updates:

• Perform regular updates and maintenance tasks on existing WordPress websites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality and performance.

1. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

• Work closely with designers, UI/UX specialists, and other developers to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of web development projects.

1. Customization and Integration:

• Implement custom functionalities and integrations based on client requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration with third-party APIs and services.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web development technologies.
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, best practices, and coding standards.
• Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not mandatory):

• Experience with e-commerce platforms, especially WooCommerce.
• Knowledge of web security best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or another related field
• 3–7 years experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Project Development or a relevant field
• Energy Project Development experience is a big plus
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• A passion for issues around Sustainability, Energy Transition, Climate Action, Distributed & Renewable Energy
• Startup experience desired
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment    

• 8+ years of industry work experience
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• 3+ years of web application development with JavaScript as full stack
• Full stack experience designing and building scalable applications from end-to-end 
• Excellent JavaScript / Typescript skills
• Strong proficiency in React (hooks knowledge is plus)
• Strong proficiency in Nodejs
• Good HTML5 / CSS3 skills with expertise on responsive web design 
• Must have Design and development experience in Micro services using NodeJS and TypeScript
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, mongoose, aggregation framework and Redis 
• Experience with Web sockets and related frameworks (e.g. Socket.IO) 
• Experience in using and developing GraphQL APIs
• Experience in performance tuning
• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN.
• Open minded to take up any challenge, research and provide solutions Great attention to detail
