
We are seeking an experienced Product Sourcing, Inventory Management, and Logistics Specialist with a background in direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce and a deep understanding of sourcing from platforms like Alibaba. The ideal candidate will have previously founded or played a significant role in a D2C e-commerce business and will bring a wealth of knowledge in sourcing, inventory management, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Sourcing:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers on platforms like Alibaba, ensuring they meet the company's quality and ethical standards.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Coordinate sample procurement and quality checks.
- Stay updated with market trends and introduce new products that can positively impact the company's bottom line.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and predict future demand using data analytics.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to ensure stock availability for promotions and campaigns.
- Manage stock discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Logistics Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics process, from supplier to end consumer.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage customs clearance and documentation for international shipments.
- Address and resolve any shipping or delivery issues in a timely manner.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, shipping companies, and other key partners.
- Regularly review supplier performance and ensure they meet contractual obligations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest in sourcing, inventory management, and logistics best practices.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

To be successful in this role you must already be working within a Marketplace/Ecommerce position ideally within a Marketplace Agency. You will have demonstrable experience dealing with marketplace platforms, in particular Amazon and Flipkart and have experience in running successful digital marketing campaigns.
