My Client's India is its largest studio outside USA with 400+ people and growing rapidly. It manages some of the biggest global games in the Casual Gaming, Action Strategy, Match-3, Slots, and Invest Express genres. The game teams are responsible for the long term-vision of the game, its entire Game Design & Tuning, Product Roadmap, Features, Content & Creative decisions, Art work (2D, 3D, Animation), Development, QA/Testing, Analytics & Performance Tracking, User Acquisition & Live Operations.

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the software design of large scale applications and features & enhancements which reaches millions of players. You should be passionate about players, performance, scalability and holds a very high bar for quality of the game.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Owns technical roadmap, design and review for end-to-end games, ensure design quality and integrity
• Modernizing the tech stack
• Bring tech innovations in the game which will help in growth of the games
• Design, code, and develop new features/fix bugs/add enhancements
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various system resources
• Lead and Mentor junior engineers and drive a culture of technical perfection.
• Drive creative and innovative solutions to complex problems, exemplifying good technical discernment.
• Drive improvements and new approaches to address potential systemic pain points and technical debt, anticipate and avoid problems.
• Take a hands-on approach in the development of prototypes, independently and with others, to establish design decisions and/or technical feasibility.

Required Skills

• Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, mobile, desktop or web application development with hands on coding experience covering full stack
• Experience coding in C#, C++, Python, Javascript and SQL
• Working knowledge of mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• A proven foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, OOPS and software design
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Desired Skills

• Experience with mobile development – Android/iOS/Native OR on game engines such as Cocos-2D, Unity or other.

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, ELBs, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, terraform etc)
• Experience with setting up server monitoring, alerting and server provisioning
• Familiarity with micro service architecture, containers and related technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
• Experience with development tools & integrated build systems: XCode, IntelliJ, Git/Jenkins
• Experience of driving activities, review process to ensure software and product quality.
• Willing to pick up any languages, technologies, or methodologies necessary to smite a challenge—and if a conventional solution does not exist, then innovate as necessary.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Take an active part in the design process of the architecture of the mobile application
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features
• Maintain code integrity and organization
• Working with the design team to convert designs to visual elements
• Implement security and data protection systems and processes to ensure information security compliance
• Oversee full software development lifecycle for the product

Job Requirements:       

·        Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Computer Science or Engineering.

·        Minimum 5 years of experience working as a senior–level Software Engineer

·        Excellent programming and debugging skills in RoR and Python

·        Experience in web development and automation

·        Experience developing on Windows and Linux systems 

Although not required, the following are a plus: 

·        Experience working with Build scripts, Shell scripts, Makefiles

·        Experience with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools

·        Knowledge of RESTful web services and docker

Primary Responsibilities:

Experience or Skills Required:

• B.Tech or Advanced degree in Computer Science with 6-12 years of industry experience in product based companies.
• Proficiency with Basic libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn and pandas
• Experience in building solutions based on Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, K Nearest neighbor, SVM, Random Forest, Decision Trees.
• Strong experience with at least one of programming languages: Python, Java, Vertx, Golang
• Strong experience in building Server side reusable components based on Microservices or Distributed Architecture.
• Solid coding skills with ability to lead teams in identifying clearing tech debts for large scale code base.
• Good understanding & experience in improving performance of scalable and real time responsive applications.

• Spend most of your time developing brand new software in Python
• Build out a secure data replication infrastructure to replicate transactional data across a hierarchical system
• Build out APIs for supporting a fleet of 20k devices
• Build out a configurable data analytics and reporting framework
• Build out real time dashboards for getting a high level and deep dive view of the overall system

Role – Technical Architect

ZipLoan is looking out for a strong technology leader of Software Product Engineering, with a Technical Experience of about 12+ years, and hands-on experience in Software Product Development and ownership. You will head our Platform team which will be tasked with building ZipLoan's platform layer along with a set of engineers reporting to you.

Role:

1. Understand the business end-to-end in order to drive a use-case driven architecture.
2. Identify parts of the code-base which can be made reusable as modules or services.
3. Propose architecture improvements to provide reliability and robustness at scale.
4. Provide a roadmap for evolution of the technology ecosystem.
5. Identify and erase technical debt.
6. Provide consultancy to engineering teams on specific design challenges.
7. Propose engineering best practices and help teams in adopting them.

1. 12 years min experience in core software development.
2. Hands-on experience building consumer Web/mobile apps at scale.
3. Strong exposure to open-source technology – Python and other languages,

Linux, SQL and NoSQL databases, Web development frameworks

1. Strong architecture skills.
2. Ability to mentor engineering team members effectively.
3. Preferably a strong full-stack engineer or at least strong backend skills with some front-end skill.
