Backend Engineer - Python

What we are looking

• You must have experience in Python, including development of microservices using flask/fastapi/sanic.
• You hold knowledge of at least one Python web frameworks
• You have experience in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• You are familiar with relational databases and unstructured data.
• You are familiar with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
• You have prior exposure to code versioning tools such as Git.
• You understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Good to have

• Experience in cloud services such as AWS
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding of the threading concepts in Python and multi-process architecture

• Create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and services for business use cases
• Perform unit and integration tests on developed modules

You need to write scalable Python code for developing and implementing robust applications. You would indulge your dedication and passion to build server-side logic ensuring low-latency and high end performance. You should have sound knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django and Flask.

As a Software Engineer at Coredge, you will help develop our next-generation cloud native core solution along with the product and the open-source community to build the Coredge.io vision.

What you will do?

• System engineering and implementation in Python and Golang.

• Working on performance issues using creative experiments and internally developed product features.

• Research, propose, and integrate relevant open-source projects based on product objectives.

• Write organized, efficient, and well documented Python/Golang code as an example for junior engineers.

• Participation in all levels of product definition, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Must include the ability to discuss abstract system architectures from ideas through implementation and

           creatively apply domain experience to solve technical challenges.

• Mentoring software engineers, fostering an environment of trust and accountability.

What you will need?

• Strong Python skills to develop framework(s).

• Hands-on to design & develop re-usable framework components.

• Hands-On experience on developing framework, designing re-usable framework components.

• Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, Continuous Integration, building highly scalable applications, application security and functional programming.

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of Cloud native would be an advantage.

• Understanding of Kubernetes from Architecture side and also understand the Standard API.

• Code contributed to CNCF or similar community will be plus.

• Performance benchmarking of K8’s or any cloud will be added advantage

• Expert in Python, with knowledge of Python web framework Django
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
• Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
• Strong experience on Linux
• Solid database skills in a relational database (i. e. PostgresSQL)
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Strong unit test and debugging skills
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (git)
• Experience on RESTful APIs
• Experience deploying on AWS is desirable
• Experience on Automation Builds using Jenkins and other popular frameworks

• Experience in designing scalable micro-services is desirable

Skills: 

Strong knowledge of MYSQL/PostGreSQL; Knowledge of MongoDB, Redis, Couch DB is preferred. 

Expertise in application development, databases, version control, and deployment. Skill - Node.js, 

Experience of AWS or GCP - especially services such as Lambda or google app engine 

Solid grasp of Service-oriented architecture. Web Services implementation on a medium to large scale 

Solid understanding of scaling mobile app services. Having worked the backend of an Android app is preferred

Role: 

As a Software Developer who would work independently, the candidate is expected actively acquire problems and deliver solutions as well as guide the team technically. Such a problem solver would obviously be a self starter with a high level of curiosity rather than a programming language specialist. 

He/she would be required to produce software of the highest quality through self-discipline, clear and engaged communication, and attention to detail. The role would include custom web application development on (most typically on Node.js and PHP/Python), databases (most typically MySql and MongoDb), version control (github), testing (necessarily through test scripts written before code is written), daily builds and eventual deployment onto AWS or GCP.

• Developed HTTP based REST APIs and implemented Authentication, Caching

• Languages & Frameworks: Python Django/Flask
• Database: Postgres/ Mongo
• Must have worked in a Unix/Linux based environment
• Advanced middleware like RabbitMQ, Celery Beat is definitely a plus.
