Marketing Manager

As a Principal Engineer / Architect you will be responsible for creating a technical strategy and coordinating the designs for meeting the needs of Toast’s largest restaurant brands. You will partner with Product Managers to develop the technology roadmap that enables enterprise customers to leverage the power of Toast. You will also work closely with technical leaders and implementation teams across the organization to deliver robust, scalable solutions with integrations to customers’ external systems.

As the engineering leader on the Pricing & Funds Management team, you will be responsible for evolving our Funds Management platform (processing >$150B in annual GPV) to meet Toast’s growing needs across the world by both delivering best-in-class customer facing Fintech products and foundational capabilities that enable partner teams to accelerate their products time-to-market & scale.

About this roll*:

• Design mission critical platform components at scale to ensure Toast’s Funds Management platform accurately distributes funds to beneficial party in a timely manner
• Develop an expert understanding of Toast’s payments processing platform & adjacent products to enable funds flows across Toast’s financial product suite in a seamless manner
• Document solution design, write & review code, test and rollout solutions to production, capturing & actioning customer feedback to iteratively enhance customer experience
• Collaborate with peers to optimise for solution design performance, flexibility and scalable, including enablement of multi-product & engineering teams on a common framework & platform
• Partner with UX, Product Management, QA and adjacent engineering teams to build best-in-class solutions in a complex and fast-moving environment
• Champion best practices such as quality integration and unit testing

Do you have the right ingredients*?

• Strong technologist with 12+ years experience defining and implementing high scale SaaS solutions. Experience with a broad set of technologies that includes those used at Toast - tiered web applications, microservices, API design patterns, Java, Kotlin and data analytics
• Experience with integration design patterns across high-scale Fintech platforms
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record of building partnerships across engineering, product, customer success, and other stakeholders.
• Experience shipping iterative value using agile or lean software delivery methods. 
• Experience of tackling complex and ambiguous problems, communicate clearly with others to solve the problem, and share knowledge to help the whole team succeed 
• Experience building payments & Fintech products, with at least 10+ years in the payments industry

Our Tech Stack

Toast’s products run on a stack that ranges from guest and restaurant-facing Android tablets to backend services in Java to internal, guest-facing and restaurant-facing web apps. Our backend services follow a microservice architecture written using Java 8 and DropWizard; we use AWS extensively, ranging from S3 to RDS to Lambda. We have our own platform for dealing with user management, service elevations and robust load balancing. Toast stores data in a set of sharded Postgres databases and utilizes Apache Spark for large scale data workloads including query and batch processing. The front-end is built primarily using React and ES6. The main Toast POS application is an Android application written in Java and Kotlin. For data between tablets and our cloud platform we operate RabbitMQ clusters as well as direct tablet communication to the back end.

  Architecting and delivering mid to large scale Enterprise Applications on Microsoft Platform.

·      Recommending and participating in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Application Architecture.

Delivering projects on time with quality.

·      Provide technical leadership regarding technology or project to customers and team members

·      Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies and knowledge related to recent, current and up-coming vendor products and solutions.

What you’ll bring to the team:

·      You have 15+ years of experience in Strong design & coding experience in Dot net framework using design patterns & OOPs concepts.

·      You have practical knowledge & good understanding of cross technology and functional domains, programming concepts and logical approach for problem solving.

You hold rich experience on web development technologies including ASP.NET, MVC5, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, AJAX, XML and CSS.

·      You have experience in web application Architecture and Development with hands on expertise in delivering solutions, customizing C#, ASP.Net applications using development tools like Visual Studio 2010/2012.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js and RESTful APIs using Node.js and MongoDB
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with team members, e.g designer, product and other stakeholders to ensure quality in product.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS

Qualifications

• At least 3-6 years of experience in MERN stack
• Proficiency with React.js, Node.js, MongoDB, and Express.js
• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS, SQS, Lambda
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Creating & Managing Paid Campaigns on Marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Purplle, Myntra, etc
  
• Plan, create and manage Marketplace ads campaign on Seller central by formulating strategies and road map for successful delivery of PPC campaigns
• Manage budget allocations and bid parameters to deliver the most efficient results
• Understanding of Listing Management, A+ Content, Inventory Management
• Monitor and optimize campaign spending, keyword bids, negative keywords, campaign targeting, and other important account metrics
• Analyse data, look for various patterns, use them to create campaigns and get new users

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of exp of strong experience with ecommerce or in a digital marketing agency managing ecommerce brands.
• Proven track record of delivering month-on-month revenue growth keeping marketing budget in line
• Paid digital media and performance marketing across Google, Facebook, Instagram and some exposure to SEO would be bonus
• Good to have exposure of handling budget of upwards of 50L a month
• Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
• Strong analytical thinker with good business acumen
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or MBA preferred

Skill Set Required:

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer who will work closely with the project team members and ensure the quality of the delivery.

• Develop automated tests for product validation (regression and integration).
• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (manual and automated).
• Integrate and execute automated tests in CI/CD environments
• Troubleshoot, and improve existing automation scripts
• Act as a lead team member as the team grows, providing support and training to other team members
• Execute test cases against various software applications and document the results
• Perform ad hoc testing of new and existing features to ensure they meet design requirements, quality,

    and usability standards

• Follow-up with and document resolution of bugs
• Maintain test cases for manual and automated tests
• Communicate defects to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a diverse technology environment in a Quality Assurance role
• Experience developing testing strategies and test plans
• Experience creating and executing automated end-to-end tests, using tools such as Selenium,

    Cucumber, or other automation frameworks

• Exposure to ‘Leapwork’ is good to have. Expertise on Java, OOPS Concepts
• Good understanding of software development lifecycles
• Ability to work in multiple application environments

You are a motivated and energetic rockstar full stack developer. Go-getter, think out of box to create awesome front-end (jQuery or ReactJS) and back-end (APIs) of an application platform.

Skills:

- Develop web apps using jQuery or ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, PHP Advanced, any MVC framework and Ajax.

- Hands on knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

- Experience of setting up a production workflow with git and cloud deployment will be plus.

- Knowledge of web technologies such as NodeJS, ReactJS, VueJS etc will be plus
