Lead Technical Design Engineer

Carsome’s Data Department is on the lookout for a Data Scientist/Data Science Lead who has a strong passion in building data powered products.

Data Science function under the Data Department has a responsibility for standardisation of methods, mentoring team of data science resources/interns, including code libraries and documentation, quality assurance of outputs, modeling techniques and statistics, leveraging a variety of technologies, open-source languages, and cloud computing platform. 

You will get to lead & implement projects such as price optimization/prediction, enabling iconic personalization experiences for our customer, inventory optimization etc.

Job Descriptions

• Identifying and integrating datasets that can be leveraged through our product and work closely with data engineering team to develop data products.
• Execute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make a true impact across functions such as operations, finance, logistics, marketing. 
• Identify, prioritize, and design testing opportunities that will inform algorithm enhancements. 
• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
• Unlock insights by analyzing large amounts of complex website traffic and transactional data. 
• Implement analytical models into production by collaborating with data analytics engineers.

Technical Requirements

• Expertise in model design, training, evaluation, and implementation ML Algorithm expertise K-nearest neighbors, Random Forests, Naive Bayes, Regression Models. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, deep learning expertise, tSNE, gradient boosting expertise, regression implementation expertise, Python, Pyspark, SQL, R, AWS Sagemaker /personalize etc.
• Machine Learning / Data Science Certification

Experience & Education 

• Bachelor’s in Engineering / Master’s in Data Science  / Postgraduate Certificate in Data Science. 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Service Desk Analyst with expertise in call handling and ticket management. The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, experience with ITSM tools, and familiarity with US customer support in a 24x7 operational environment. Retail domain knowledge and certifications such as ITIL, Google, or AWS will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound calls and manage IT service requests and incidents efficiently

• Create, update, and resolve tickets using tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, etc.

• Provide support for client environments including AVDI, Citrix, and Windows-based systems

• Perform basic Windows OS and network connectivity troubleshooting

• Update and maintain Knowledge Base (KB) articles

• Ensure shift adherence and active participation in shift handovers and team huddles

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution

• Support retail technologies such as POS systems, pin pads, MDM, and virtual interfaces

• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely resolution

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in a service desk/call center role handling US customers

• Hands-on experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy

• Familiarity with Citrix, AVDI, and Windows troubleshooting

• Basic understanding of network connectivity (LAN/Wi-Fi/IP-related issues)

The candidate should have an Engineering or BSc degree or/and relevant certifications from a reputable institute with 2-16 years of experience. He should be able to work independently and deliver results on schedule. He/She should have good team player skills to collaborate and lead, and share knowledge with others.

Requirements:

• Previously help a DevOps Engineer or System Engineer role

• 4+ years of production Linux system admin experience in high traffic environment

• 1+ years of experience with Amazon AWS and related services (instances, ELB,
