Position Title : Android Developer

Experience : 3+ Years

Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong Java expertise to join our team. The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance Android applications to ensure excellent user experiences.

Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain Android apps using Java.
• Design and implement new features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize app performance, fix bugs, and improve user experience.
• Integrate third-party libraries and APIs.
• Stay updated with mobile development trends and technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Conduct unit and integration testing.

Required Skills :

• 3+ Years of experience as an Android Developer.
• Proficiency in Java, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and mobile storage solutions (e.g., SQLite, Firebase).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Git and UI design principles.

Preferred Skills :

• Knowledge of Kotlin and Android Jetpack libraries.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and publishing apps on Google Play.
• Understanding of Material Design guidelines.

• You need to be excited about the problem that we are trying to solve
• 3+ years of experience building applications in Kotlin
• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
• Strong Js fundamentals - You should be able to contribute partially to our existing React Native development as well
• Ability to give clarity and communicate well with the team, including Product, Backend and Dev-Ops (if and when needed)
• Ability to use profiling tools well, getting to root causes of bugs fast
• Ability to pick and work on adjacent technologies if and when required (Eg: If the best performance monitoring solution needs a basic firebase setup, that should not be a blocker for you to go ahead and do so)
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Reach out to the open-source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes
• You need to be comfortable working in a remote environment (Good internet connection and availability on phone is needed)
• Deep understanding of android architecture
• Understanding of inter app communication
• System design thinking

What you need to have:

• Mosaic Wellness is looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of existing applications along with continuous integration of new features, who can take the ownership and work independently.
• 1.5+ years of experience in Kotlin is must 
• Your primary focus will be development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure.
• Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
  

• Integrate the design into high-quality code.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of an application.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Work along-side other developers working on a different platform for the Application. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, design implementation and creating a quality product is essential.
  

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Android Application Development.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Understanding of Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Must have already deployed at least one app on PlayStore.
• Working knowledge of Web Services & REST (JSON) APIs, Websocket, Kotlin, Retrofit, SQLite, Google API Integration, Firebase.
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Strong mobile UI design and implementation experience.
• Experience with the E-commerce store app
  
• Understanding of code versioning tools.
