Founder
The founder is Shariq Plasticwala. He is a graduate of IIT Bombay & Stanford GSB. He was part of the founding team of Amazon India where he played a key role for over 8 years. Among his roles at Amazon, he was the CEO of Amazon’s first joint venture in India and a Board Member of Amazon’s payments business.
Role
The role is a unique opportunity to be a part of the core team at KAFQA. The responsibilities of the role are per the below:
- Understand the needs of employees across different segments across their lifecycle (discovery of Kafqa opportunities, application experience, interview experience, decision experience, onboarding, settling down, scaling with the organization, attrition & separation) & design best in class experiences always thinking technology first
- Understand the needs of instructors separately and design best in class experiences for them in partnership with head of departments and other teams.
- Meet compliances mandated by central & state governments.
The role is based in Bangalore, India and reports directly to the Founder, CEO of KAFQA.

What You Will Do
As a Technical Support Engineer, your role will involve:
- Working with customer support tickets in our Salesforce Service Cloud ticketing system

Desired Technical Qualifications
- Monitoring Platform Experience: Proficiency in Sumo Logic or similar platforms (e.g., Splunk, Data Dog, Elastic, New Relic, Appdynamics, VMWare Tanzu).
- In-depth Knowledge of Logging Systems: Proficiency in systems like Windows Event Viewer, Syslog, R Syslog, & Syslog-ng.
- Expertise in SIEM and Cloud Technologies: Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and security information and event management (SIEM) principles.
- Advanced Technical Skills: Experience with system administration, SSH management, and basic scripting and programming (Java, C++, Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
- Query Language Proficiency: SQL or similar query language skills.
- Kubernetes and Docker Proficiency: Extensive experience in setup, configuration, troubleshooting, tuning, and infrastructure management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- New features developed independently with the ability to document the design after understanding and evaluating the requirements with necessary groundwork on required application components

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications.
- BE/B.Tech Degree from a reputed institution with at least 7 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience with Core Java, J2EE with a good knowledge of its ecosystem
- Experience with JUnit, JMH like performance tuning test tools preferred
- REST API design and development experience. Usage of Swagger or other API spec tools would be preferred. Working knowledge on Spring Boot is a plus
- Hands-on experience with some of the following application components is a plus: Solr, Kafka, OpenTSDB, Elasticsearch, Janus graph or any graph DB.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL required.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI, Maven, Ant required
