Product Designer - Job Description

As a Product designer at myYogaTeacher, you will have a chance to define how our students and teachers use our platform. You will have an opportunity to create an empathetic product experience via pragmatic storytelling, detailed flow mapping, interactive prototyping and product testing to create designs that are polished and easy to use.

You will be communicating, ideating and pitching frequently in front of your peers across product, business, tech and growth marketing. You will work closely with management, product managers, marketing, operations and development team to create engaging and user-centric experiences. We expect you to work with our design system to bring in fresh approaches, insights, frameworks and to be great at conveying what’s best for the user to interact with a seamless product.

Your responsibilities include defining product specifications, creating digital assets and designing fully functional products. To be successful in this role, you should have an eye for detail, understand UI and UX needs of our users and be able to translate requirements into practical product features.

Ultimately, you will help us build products that are easy to use and visually appealing to our students and teachers.

What would you be doing?

• You will work in a world class design team to own and drive product design and set the experience bar for our students and teachers
• You will be mapping requirements by continuous interaction with product managers
• You will be upholding the voice of the end-user and defending design choices
• You will create quick sketches, comprehensive wireframes, rich visuals, and interactive prototypes to deliver finished design deliverables
• You will maintain and enrich our user experience across both web and native app platforms by continuous benchmarking and iterations (even post-launch)
• You will translate quantitative and qualitative behavioural data and competitive analysis into design solutions
• You will offer multiple solutions to problems and make tradeoff recommendations
• You will drive design quality, usability and accessibility standards
• You will collaborate across teams to improve, maintain and optimise our interaction and visual design systems

What is your background?

• 2+ years of professional experience with design and development of highly interactive products and digital interfaces such as websites, mobile web, and native apps.
• Sound proficiency in user-centred design processes and interaction design principles
• Excellent knowledge of web standards, native mobile design systems (iOS and Android), progressive improvements, dynamic content retrieval, and responsive/adaptive design techniques
• You have a portfolio that details strong interaction, thought process and visual design skills
• Deep understanding of typography, layout and composition, information architecture, colour theory, fluid grid systems, animation and transitions
• A tendency to think between the layers and drive your goals via motion rich interactions
• An ability to create detailed interconnected design flows while being able to imagine movement and co-relation between different components to create user delight
• Deep understanding of Figma and other design tools

Job Description

We are looking for a Product designer to join Triveous and help us in our journey to create beautiful, usable, and inclusive mobile products. She/He will be responsible for understanding and executing the entire design lifecycle of various projects. That includes creating user personas, mapping user journeys, creating prototypes, and testing them out with actual users. 

The role also involves talking to client stakeholders to execute the design process independently. Experience in communicating design inputs, decisions, and outputs with key stakeholders is a definite plus.

Since this is a remote role, you would need to be self-motivated and proactive in all the work that you do.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and user needs
• Create user personas, journey maps, and various other design artifacts
• Create prototypes of varying fidelity
• Communicate design solutions to key stakeholders
• Define and track key metrics related to user experience
• Utilize quantitative and qualitative research to generate meaningful insights that will drive creative concepts

Skills and Requirements

• Experienced with 1+ years in Product Design/UX roles.
• Good experience in user experience and interface design, with a supporting portfolio
• Experience in designing mobile applications
• Experience in understanding and mapping complex user journeys
• Ability to form, prototype, and clearly communicate ideas and decisions.
• Business know-how: Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
• Familiarity with prototyping tools like Figma/Sketch
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to work well with remote, cross-functional teams
• Responsible, self-motivated, and comfortable taking the initiative.
• Attentive to the finer details and love what you do

Bonus

• Experience with various user research methodologies
• Experience in building offline-first application

• Work closely with stakeholders and product managers to translate user needs and business requirements into visual designs that are minimalistic, easy to use, and emotionally engaging.  
• Design for different industry sectors and master in visual design.
• Implement visual principles and experiment with typography, colors and labelling layouts.
• Collaborate and review designs with other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception for a better user experience.
• Present and obtain approvals from design leaders, project stakeholders, and end-users to drive your designs to success.

• B.Des/M.Des or equivalent experience in packaging or graphic design with an amazing design portfolio. 1+ years of experience in packaging or graphic design.
• Proficient in abode creative suite.
• A good storyteller who generates empathy, craft a vision, design for impact, using written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skill
• A problem solver with ideas that challenge the status quo, together with the persistence – to bring them to life.

Nymbl Digital is a content marketing and design agency based out of Bangalore catering to clients in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Saudi Arabia. Within 1.6 years of operations, we have catered to 30+ clients till date.

On the sidelines, we are working on a product, for which we are looking to add illustrators, creative artists and thinkers in our team.

Remote

Monday-Friday and alternate Saturdays.

Your design deliverables will comprise Social media designs, ad creatives, logo designing and branding, email designing, brochure, package designing.

You'll be working closely with us - brainstorming, sketching, and bringing creative ideas to life.

• Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role is an add-on.
• An out-of-the-box portfolio of social media design works.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other common design tools
• Drawing skills with an attention to detail (both by hand and digital pen)
• Good understanding of art fundamentals, especially composition, colour, and form
• Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills
