Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Specialist to join our global automotive team. As DevOps Specialist, you will be responsible for managing operations, system monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting automation workflows to ensure operational stability and excellence for enterprise IT projects. You will be providing support for critical application environments for industry leaders in the automotive industry. 

Responsibilities:

Daily maintenance tasks on application availability, response times, pro-active incident tracking on system logs and resources monitoring

Incident Management: Monitor and respond to tickets raised by the DevOps team or end-users. 

Support users with prepared troubleshooting Maintain detailed incident logs, track SLAs, and prepare root cause analysis reports.

Change & Problem Management: Support scheduled changes, releases, and maintenance activities. Assist in identifying and tracking recurring issues. 

Documentation & Communication: Maintain process documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on incidents and resolutions. 

Tool & Platform Support: Manage and troubleshoot CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), container platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Requirements:

DevOps Skillset: Logfile analysis /troubleshooting (ELK Stack), Linux administration, Monitoring (App Dynamics, Checkmk, Prometheus, Grafana), Security (Black Duck, SonarQube, Dependabot, OWASP or similar)

Experience with Docker.

Familiarity with DevOps principles and ticket tools like ServiceNow.

Experience in handling confidential data and safety sensitive systems

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities. Easy to work with.

Optional: Experience with our relevant business domain (Automotive / Manufacturing industry, especially production management systems). Familiarity with IT process frameworks SCRUM, ITIL.

Position Overview 

We are seeking a talented and experienced Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our infrastructure and applications. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and product teams to automate processes, implement best practices, and improve system reliability. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions using modern DevOps practices. 
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency. 
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on users. 
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and ensure code quality. 
• Manage and configure cloud-based infrastructure services to optimize performance and cost. 
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure applications. 
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues. 
• Conduct periodic security assessments and implement appropriate measures to ensure the integrity and security of systems and data. 
• Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability. 
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents promptly to ensure system uptime and availability. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role 
• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with AWS 
• Experience of building and supporting complex CI/CD pipelines using Github 
• Experience of building and supporting infrastructure as a code using Terraform 
• Proficiency in scripting and automating tools 
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols 
• Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments 
• Knowing modern security requirements like SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST will be a solid advantage.

Responsibilities

• A technology Professional who understands software development and can solve IT Operational and deployment challenges using software engineering tools and processes. This position requires an understanding of both Software development (Dev) and deployment

Operations (Ops)

• Identity manual processes and automate them using various DevOps automation tools

• Maintain the organization’s growing cloud infrastructure

• Monitor and maintain DevOps environment stability

• Collaborate with distributed Agile teams to define technical requirements and resolve technical design issues

• Orchestrating builds and test setups using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Participate in designing and building Kubernetes, Cloud, and on-prem environments for maximum performance, reliability and scalability

• Share business and technical learnings with the broader engineering and product organization, while adapting approaches for different audiences

Requirements

• Candidates working for this position should possess at least 5 years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer.

• Candidate should have experience in ELK stack, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Solid experience in the AWS environment.

• Should have experience in monitoring tools like DataDog or Newrelic.

• Minimum of 5 years experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Sonar, and Selenium.

• Candidates must possess ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation.

• Candidates must possess experience in using Linux, Jenkins, and ample experience in configuring and automating the monitoring tools.

• The candidates should also possess experience in the software development process and tools and languages like SaaS, Python, Java, MongoDB, Shell scripting, Python, PostgreSQL, and Git.

• Candidates should demonstrate knowledge in handling distributed data systems.

Examples: Elastisearch, Cassandra, Hadoop, and others.

• Should have experience in GitLab- CIRoles and Responsibilities

• Understanding of maintenance of existing systems (Virtual machines), Linux stack
• Experience running, operating and maintainence of Kubernetes pods

Job Description:

• Hands on experience with Ansible & Terraform.
• Scripting language, such as Python or Bash or PowerShell is required and willingness to learn and master others. 
• Troubleshooting and resolving automation, build, and CI/CD related issues (in cloud environment like AWS or Azure).
• Experience with Kubernetes is mandate.
• To develop and maintain tooling and environments for test and production environments.
• Assist team members in the development and maintenance of tooling for integration testing, performance testing, security testing, as well as source control systems (that includes working in CI systems like Azure DevOps, Team City, and orchestration tools like Octopus).
• Good with Linux environment.

Role : SRE

Experience : 4 - 8 Years

• Experience in building, deploying and operating cloud solutions on Kubernetes
• Strong expertise administrating and scaling Kubernetes on bare metal and CKA preferred
• Expertise on K8s Interfaces CNI, CSI, CRI and Service meshe
• Hands-on experience as a DevOps or Automation development
• Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux operating system internals, filesystems, disk/storage technologies and storage protocols.
• Experience working with Helm Charts and building out Infrastructure As Code (IaC)
• Experience in writing software to automate orchestration tasks at scale; we commonly use Python, Go, and Shell scripting
• Knowledge of systems (Linux, GNU tooling), networking (OSI model, DNS, routing) and virtualization vs containerization
• Expertise in CI/CD tooling for cloud-based applications specifically Terraform / CloudFormation, Jenkins and Git
• Architected CNF Orchestration with Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of the principles of 12-factor apps and modern containerized microservices
• Plan for reliability by designing systems to work across our multi-region and multi-cloud environments
• Experience developing and using Application & Integration stacks/tools such as Kafka, Spring Cloud, Apache Camel, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Knative, and NoSQL

• You have experience of 2-4 years in building high-performance consumer-facing mobile applications at Product companies of a decent scale.
• You can write code preferably in Golang and Python.
• You have experience with debugging production issues and writing RCAs.
• You have demonstrable stories of being on-call and how outages have been handled.
• You have experience developing products on Kubernetes and cloud providers like GCP and AWS.

What your average day would look like:

• Deploy and maintain mission-critical information extraction, analysis, and management systems
• Manage low cost, scalable streaming data pipelines
• Provide direct and responsive support for urgent production issues
• Contribute ideas towards secure and reliable Cloud architecture
• Use open source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project
• Use coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve automation problems
• Collaborate with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex infrastructure, security, or deployment problem

What you need to work with us:

• Proficiency in at least one of the general-purpose programming languages like Python, Java, etc.
• Experience in managing the IAAS and PAAS components on popular public Cloud Service Providers like AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
• Proficiency in Unix Operating systems and comfortable with Networking concepts
• Experience with developing/deploying a scalable system
• Experience with the Distributed Database & Message Queues (like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Kafka, etc.)
• Experience in managing Hadoop clusters
• Understanding of containers and have managed them in production using container orchestration services.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
