Requirements

• 3+ years and above exposure in the art of writing codes and solving problems for large scale
• Extensive and expert programming experience in any one programming language (strong OOPS skills preferred). Deep experience in a java programming language
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Have a penchant for solving complex and interesting problems.
• BE/BTech, MTech in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Excellent coding skills – should be able to convert the design into code fluently Good skills to write unit & integration tests with reasonable coverage of code & interfaces - TDD is a plus
• Experience in building highly scalable business applications, which involve implementing large complex business flows and dealing with the huge amount of data. Experience with

multi-threading and concurrency programming

• Ability to switch between the technologies and learn new skills on the go.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Drive discussions to create/improve the product, process and technology
• Build abstractions and contracts with separation of concerns for a larger scope

• Robust and scalable web-based applications
• Do high-level design with guidance; Functional modelling, break-down of a module
• Thinking platforms & reuse, the open-source contribution will be a plus

Job Description

• Independently own one or more multiple modules, which includes: requirement analysis, design, development, maintenance & support
• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules and that handles interaction between multiple components.
• Rapidly iterate to add new functionalities and solves complex problems with simple and intuitive solutions
• Produce architecture with clean interfaces, that are efficient and scalable
• Participate and contribute to architectural discussions
• Perform design and code reviews
• Perform technical feasibility and trade off studies & guides others to perform these studies
• Solve production issues. Investigate and provide solutions to minimize the business impact due to outage
• Continuously improve performance metrics of modules you own.
• Collaborate effectively across teams to solve problems, execute and deliver results

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience in MERN stack
• A deep understanding of JavaScript
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with Unit and Integration tests
• Experience with CI/CD
• Experience with MathJax/Latex
• Experience with large scale video streaming

• Experience working with community version PostgreSQL version 13 (or higher)
• Experience investigating/troubleshooting PostgreSQL performance issues with native Postgres catalog and statistics
• Familiarity with streaming and logical replication, HA, Backup and Recovery and Maintenance utilities including setup, configuration and monitoring.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• 5+ years of PostgreSQL DBA experience

Ideal Candidate Profile (Essential Attributes)

• Expertise and Prior experience in JavaScript environment [Node JS/ PHP/ React JS/ React Native]
• Prior work experience in B2C start-ups (unicorn scale)
• Excellent coding skills with experience in building system architecture, databases
• Exposure to version control, documentation tools, progress management tools
• Must have built application from scratch and scaled to a sizable user base.

• Development and building of large-scale applications which is scalable, high performing and resilient
• Understand product requirement and develop/deploy end-to-end scalable technology systems for our ed-tech business
• Setting up the technology infrastructure to host website and apps for our customers
• Integrate third party tools as per the product requirements
• Own the development and operations of our website, apps and database
• Regularly manage, test and fix issues related to security and performance
• Continuously strive to meet the development timelines with minimum bugs
• Maintain good coding practices to ensure quality, documentation, low maintenance
• Work closely with product owner, business owner and testing team to ensure timely and satisfactory product release
• Regularly stay in touch with technological changes in the industry and implement necessary changes to keep our technology ecosystem updated
• Any other items as deemed necessary for effective functioning and growth of the function

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Lead one of the product verticals in the development of technology strategy, planning, hiring and execution of the next iteration of the WeInvest platform.

• Institutionalize a strong software engineering culture and facilitate a rapid, iterative, layered development approach.

• Be hands on with the coding, evaluate design and architecture choices, do in-depth code reviews, and implement standards and practices for software development.

• Inspire the engineering team to build quality, scalable code by pairing with team members periodically.

• Participate in the definition and management of high-quality product roadmaps based on business, product & tech strategy.

• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Masters /BE/ B.Tech from a reputed institute

• About 6-10 years professional experience in software development.

• Excellent logical and analytical reasoning capabilities combined with strong knowledge of core

computer science concepts like algorithms, data structures, software design patterns, OOP etc.

• Should have experience in all the phases of SDLC

• Must have experience in leading a team. (At least 2-3 people)

• Be an expert in ruby on rails with experience OR from Fintech, Wealth Management OR Investment

• Management Domain with experience in any of the programming languages (Java/Python/Ruby).

• Breadth of experience in multiple technologies, tools, frameworks and processes is a big plus.

• Excellent understanding of core computer science concepts like algorithms, data structure,

Software design patterns, OOP etc. Be able to lead the team in design & architecture discussions,

introduce new tools, concepts & process to the team and guide other members of the team.

• Experience working in an agile team with software engineering practices like automated testing,

test- driven-development, continuous integration etc is a big plus.
