Job Description:

The Finance Head is a senior executive responsible for overseeing all financial activities within an organization. This role typically reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and plays a crucial role in guiding the financial strategy and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with organizational objectives. Conduct financial analysis to assess performance, identify risks, and opportunities for improvement.

·        Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

·        Treasury and Cash Management: Manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and ensure sufficient funds for operational needs .Oversee banking relationships, including negotiations for credit facilities and banking services.

·        Financial Control and Compliance: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Coordinate audits with external auditors and regulatory agencies. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

·        Strategic Financial Leadership: Collaborate with other executives to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and profitability. Assess the financial implications of business decisions and provide strategic guidance to support long-term success.

·        Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.

·        Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in financial management roles, with increasing levels of responsibility.

·        Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·        Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

·        Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.

·        Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills preferred.

·        Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ethical behavior in all interactions.

What you will do

Need a process and a detail-oriented candidate for our Account payable department in the Finance function

• Establish and maintain financial controls, internal financial controls, and procedures for the company. Eg P2P, R2R, etc.

• Ensure that payments are processed as per the internal controls with all the proper support.

• Account the expenses properly in the corresponding GLs.

• Implement timely payment to the vendors as well as timely booking and processing of the payment.

• Work with the business team and close all escalations.

• Prepare monthly MIS with schedules of all the expenses and balance sheet items as well as Month-end closure (M+1) and provision of the expense.

• Investigate reasons of creditors outstanding > 60 days, advance standing > 30 days & provision > 30 days.

• Ensure that there are no debit balances in sundry creditors and advances > 30 days.

• Spearhead the validating, booking, and processing of the salary, F&Fs & business reimbursements.

• Forecast the working capital requirement.

• Supervise accounting and validation of Fixed assets and maintaining FAR.

• Close the internal audit, statutory audit, and due diligence as well as daily BRS.

• Accurately calculate and pay the monthly TDS and monthly GST

• Assist the consultant with filing the TDS return and GST return

• Ensure the payroll compliance is done as per the relevant act.

You should apply if you

1. Bring your Financial A-game: Should be well versed with Accounting Standard and IndAS, TDS, GST, Foreign Payments, and Payroll compliance (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, PT, LWF)
2. Are good with the ‘toys’: Proficient in Excel & Powerpoint. Working knowledge of Zoho & SAP.
3. Are a seasoned veteran: CA with 5-6 years of experience and should have worked with a startup
4. Can cut a good deal: Always eager to cut short the operating expenses.

Requirements:

• Experienced in core financial accounting concepts under U.S. GAAP accounting principles
• Ability to analyze and interpret large and complex datasets
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document test procedures and outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries, Python Scripts
• Skilled in Spreadsheet application (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) for data analysis functionality - Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.
• Experience in Quote-to-Cash business processes is a plus
• Experience and familiarity with Oracle Financial Applications is a plus - particularly Oracle Financials General Ledger, Subledgers, Financial Accounting Hub.
• Familiarity with Big Data Systems (Presto etc.) is a plus

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation
• Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
• Monitor emerging technology to determine ways to automate the accounting process without sacrificing accuracy and accountability
• Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for the management and executive teams
• Implement and monitor the month, quarter and year-end closeout accounting schedules

Job Description:

To ensure correct accounting of revenue. Manage end to end order to cash accounting
including but not limited to billing and accounting treatment of revenues, customer
master data, collections accounting, bad debt provisioning, debtor ageing.
 Reconciliation of collections with the revenue master data and identifying exceptions
therein for the resolutions after discussions with ops teams;
 Strong reconciliation abilities and extraction of data from various files for finalization of
revenue;
 Posting sales entries in the Accounting system to ensure all are captured and
appropriately recognized for reporting;
 Perform periodical Balance sheet reconciliation of control accounts, bank accounts and
all asset /debtor accounts;
 Liaison with other Finance team members to ensure the integrity of accounts;
 Ensure all collected payments are presented for posting within collection deadlines;
 Debtors ageing and follow ups with the clients for timely collections;
 Keeping a track of cash inflow and revenue projections.
 Ensure closure of operational/month-end activities including data inputs for the MIS
preparation within strict timeframes;
 Liasioning with the banks for the cash management and reconciliations on timely basis;
 Accounting of all the bank transactions on a daily basis for reconciliation of accounts and
investments made by the company.

Education:

• Semi-Qualified CA/ MBA/ M.Com with atleast 3-4 years of experience (excluding training period) working in receivables department of a company (e-commerce company preferably); B.Com with 5-7 year experience.
• Proficient in Tally accounting and cost centre accounting;
• Must be strong in MS Office (Including MS Word, Excel with advanced skills);
• Quick learner and ability to deliver on time.
