What You'll Do:
At LearnTube, we’re pushing the boundaries of Generative AI to revolutionise how the world learns. As a Backend Engineer, you will be building the backend for an AI system and working directly on AI. Your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Ship Micro-services – Build FastAPI services that handle ≈ 800 req/s today and will triple within a year (sub-200 ms p95).
- Power Real-Time Learning – Drive the quiz-scoring & AI-tutor engines that crunch millions of events daily.
- Design for Scale & Safety – Model data (Postgres, Mongo, Redis, SQS) and craft modular, secure back-end components from scratch.
- Deploy Globally – Roll out Dockerised services behind NGINX on AWS (EC2, S3, SQS) and GCP (GKE) via Kubernetes.
- Automate Releases – GitLab CI/CD + blue-green / canary = multiple safe prod deploys each week.
- Own Reliability – Instrument with Prometheus / Grafana, chase 99.9 % uptime, trim infra spend.
- Expose Gen-AI at Scale – Publish LLM inference & vector-search endpoints in partnership with the AI team.
- Ship Fast, Learn Fast – Work with founders, PMs, and designers in weekly ship rooms; take a feature from Figma to prod in < 2 weeks.
What makes you a great fit?
Must-Haves:
- 2+ yrs Python back-end experience (FastAPI)
- Strong with Docker & container orchestration
- Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD, AWS (EC2, S3, SQS) or GCP (GKE / Compute) in production
- SQL/NoSQL (Postgres, MongoDB) + You’ve built systems from scratch & have solid system-design fundamentals

● Work closely with the marketing team to build high conversion landing pages. Maintain and
improve our marketing codebase
● Contribute ideas and efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of the marketing workflows

Required Skills:
● Minimum 3+ years of experience in Front-end development.

Main Responsibilities:
• Logging all relevant incident/service request details, allocating categorization and prioritization codes.
• Providing first-line investigation and diagnosis using approved tools, systems and procedures.
• Resolving/fulfilling incidents/service requests that are in scope.
• Technical Escalations - escalating incidents/service requests that cannot be resolved/fulfilled within agreed timescales or are out of Service Desk/1st Line scope, to the next level technical team which may include 3rd Parties or other non-Assurance functions.
• Engaging and arranging external technical and non-technical support where hands and eyes support are required on-site.
• Following-up with external technical and non-technical support organizations including 3rd parties until incident/request resolution/fulfilment.
• Managerial Escalations – escalating incidents/service requests that are at risk of failing or have failed agreed SLAs/OLAs, or that are out of scope, which may include 3rd Parties or internal roles (e.g. Service Manager, Account Manager).
• Keeping customers informed of progress.
• Owning incidents/requests from ticket creation to resolution/fulfilment/closure.
• Closing all resolved/fulfilled incidents/requests and other queries. • Communication with customers – keeping them informed of incident/request progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages, etc.
• Ensure the Configuration Management System (CMS) is maintained/updated.
• Maintain an exceptional level of customer service during any engagements with Customers/3rd Parties/Internal Teams.
• Ensure communication at all times is clear, concise, meaningful, professional and efficient.
• Provide feedback to appropriate Line Manager on how the Service Desk (Tier 1 and Escalation Management) and supporting functions can improve.
• Identify need for Problem Management for reoccurring Incidents/Events.
• Understanding of and familiarity with Customers’ services and solutions.
• Compliance with Service Operations processes (Event Management, Incident Management, Request Fulfilment, Change Management, and Problem Management) and associated metrics (SLAs/OLAs/KPIs/other metrics).
• Actively participate as required in meetings (customer, 3rd party, internal).

Experience

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. If you’re also familiar with Agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you.

Requirements

- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. PHP, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
