Requirements

• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, Javascript (React.js), XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• 8 - 10 years of overall experience including 3+ years in mentoring & leading a high-performance team
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Have a strong understanding and appreciation for design first thinking and quality of user experience
• Be well-versed in sprint estimation, planning, tracking, change management and delivery, with prior experience of Agile-based development environments
• Strong command on vanilla/core JavaScript
• Knowledge of UI optimisations and performance.
• Deeper understanding of Chrome Dev Tools. Should understand the nuances of the timeline for perf monitoring.
• Deeper understanding of network layer, HTTP, HTTPS, cookies, local storage.
• Good communication skills, good visual design sense, in-depth experience in developing web-based applications.
• Strong technical aptitude and a good knowledge of CSS fundamentals

Technical Skills Required

Mandatory:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in software development with C# and the .Net framework/.net core.

• Experience on building RESTful services and MVC patterns-based web applications, web api and wcf

• Experience in ORM, Document-oriented NoSQL databases or RDMS • Experience with Git (GitHub), automatic deployments, continuous integration

• Expertise on JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, data visualization tools.

• Experience of working on highly scalable SaaS products

• Developed & debugged multi-threaded applications.

• Developed and deployed modules in Azure / Aws Good to have: • Experience in development of reports.

• Developed and deployed modules in Docker / Kubernetes • Experience as scrum owner

From the times when excel sheets served as our POS system at stores having one brand, to our evolution as a company that uses smart kitchens - we have traversed the phone, web, and app channels over time. The team of engineers at Rebel has built one of the most unique platforms in the world that can not only help operate a kitchen with multiple brands but also aids in operating business at scale. To give you additional perspective, the team has built more than 40+ products in the last 4.5 years. The innovation spans through technologies like polygon architecture (dynamic delivery radius) for a multi-brand operation from a kitchen, to managing each step of the kitchen ops — queuing, load/prep time, batching of orders, out of the door algorithms; inventory prediction based on consumption data, personal

recommendation engine, deep integration with every aggregator, last-mile delivery app, CRM systems, multiple brand websites and apps, reporting and analytics systems, and more. You will mostly spend time on the following:

• Leading a team of software engineers; owning and developing the roadmap to support your long term vision for the services and conducting tactical execution at the same time
• Hiring, mentoring and coaching your direct reports to be the best they can be, both in their current roles and in their careers
• Liaising with product, business and leadership teams to ensure business priorities are met
• Continuously improving management and engineering processes. Planning, estimating projects and tasks and ensuring software development best practices are being followed
• Working closely with engineers on day to day activities, including writing, reviewing and troubleshooting code
• Owning services, and managing ongoing features, fixes, and daily operations of services

We’re excited about you if you have:

• At least 15 years of experience in software development, including experience building microservices and distributed systems
• Built and led high performing engineering teams
• Experience working with complex, high traffic, and consumer facing distributed platforms
• Proven engineering knowledge and experience
• The ability to operate at a managerial level as well as diving deep and getting your hands dirty when required
• Experience in establishing software development processes and practices; A track record of good project planning and execution

•  Envision and develop the long-term architectural direction, with emphasis on platforms/ reusable components while adopting a nimble delivery process.
•  Establish structures and processes that ensure a high level of quality and reliability and extensibility of deliverables .
•  Drive the creation of next generation extensible web, mobile and fashion commerce platforms, security protocols, customisation and tools to support continuous scaling, internationalisation and platform extensions. 
•  Drives code and design reviews of components / systems / products in scope and drives the architectural governance for them 
•  Set directional paths for the department for adoption of new technology stacks for solving business problems
