Design Engineer

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced, agile, and strategic Vendor Procurement professional to strengthen and expand our talent and project outsourcing ecosystem. This role is key to managing

vendor partnerships across Recruitment, US Sourcing, SME Hiring, Freelancers, and Project-based Outsourcing. You will work closely with Talent Acquisition, US Sourcing, Project Delivery, and Business Heads to build, onboard, manage, and optimize a strong pool of vendors, freelancers, and sourcing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

•Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers for:

o Recruitment services (India and US)

o US SME sourcing for EdTech and digital projects

o Freelancer talent pools (Instructional Designers, SMEs, Editors, Developers, etc.)

o Project-based outsourcing vendors (domestic and international)

•Manage contract negotiations, rate finalizations, and SLA definitions with sourcing and outsourcing vendors.

•Track vendor performance, quality of submissions, and fulfilment timelines.

•Maintain a live vendor database, contract repository, rate cards, and engagement trackers.

•Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal documentation, and client-specific requirements.

•Coordinate closely with the US Sourcing Team to align on niche, senior, and freelance talent needs.

•Support pricing discussions, RFP/RFQ processes, and build scalable sourcing pipelines.

•Monitor spend, forecast vendor utilization, and support budget management in collaboration with Finance.

•Present regular vendor performance reports, dashboards, and procurement health metrics to leadership.

Key Skills & Competencies:

•2–6 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, sourcing operations, preferably in staffing, EdTech, BPO/KPO, or digital project outsourcing sectors

•Strong experience in US sourcing and vendor ecosystems (mandatory)

•Solid negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship-building skills

•Exposure to freelance workforce models, SME staffing, and project outsourcing management

•Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities

•Proficiency in Excel, vendor management platforms, Zoho Recruit, or similar systems

•Strong data orientation—experience in creating and maintaining vendor dashboards and MIS

•Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hybrid work setup

            Responsible to work on Contract, Permanent & C2H (Contract to Hire) positions.

            Responsible for Coordinating fulfillment of other formalities such as background check, drug test etc. leading to joining post placement.

            Responsible for achieving a good conversion ratio of submittals into interview and placement.

            Responsible for Strategy Development process which includes understanding client requirements & mapping the relevant targets.

            Maintain close contact with candidates/Vendors/ recruiters/offshore team.

            Updated about technologies of the Client requirements and knowledge of current IT trends.

1. Client Acquisition and Management: Identifying potential clients, reaching out to them, and establishing relationships. This often involves networking, cold calling, or using digital platforms for lead generation.
2. Sales Planning and Strategy: Developing sales strategies and setting sales targets. This could involve market research to identify sales opportunities and tailoring sales approaches to different clients.
3. Presentation and Pitching: Creating and delivering presentations or pitches to potential clients. This requires a deep understanding of the product or service being sold and the ability to communicate its value effectively.
4. Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiating terms with clients and closing sales deals. A sales executive needs to be adept at persuasion and handling objections while maintaining positive relationships.
5. Customer Service and Support: Providing ongoing support to existing clients, addressing their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This might include after-sales services or resolving any issues that arise.
6. Market Analysis: Keeping up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. This information can be crucial for adapting sales strategies and identifying new opportunities.
7. Reporting and Administration: Maintaining records of sales, revenue, invoices, and client feedback. Sales executives often use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for this purpose.
8. Collaboration and Teamwork: Working closely with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure alignment of strategies and goals.
9. Training and Development: Continuously improving their sales skills and product knowledge. This may involve attending training sessions or workshops.
10. Meeting Sales Targets: Ultimately, a sales executive is responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales targets set by their organization.

Purpose of the role:

• As a start-up, we have multiple flutter apps used by customers and operation folks. We need you to enlist various scenarios and automate their test cases.
• We release continuously every week; regression suite and exploratory test suites are extremely important for you to develop and maintain.
• Our web interfaces include those used by operations and our customer-facing websites. Testing the same and automation will be owned by you.
• Transform data in a format that aids easy decision-making for Product, Marketing and Business Heads.
• Understand the business problem, validate the same using the technology and certify for production - no hand-offs - full path to production is yours.
• You will deal with mobile-based front-ends, web front ends, REST APIs, and deal with the growing challenges.

Technical Expertise:

• Good knowledge and experience with programming languages - Dart, Flutter.
• Good knowledge and experience with mobile app testing/web app testing
• Experience with automation testing frameworks - Flutter Test and Playwright (Web)
• Experience GCP cloud platform
• Experience with testing Approaches - Exploratory, Edge Case, and Automation.
• Ability to create Test Plans and Test cases given business scenarios and features.
• Have a passion for technology and computer science!! - We need an engineer with fire in the belly!!

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily support with resolution of escalated tickets and act as liaison to business and technical leads to ensure issues are resolved in timely manner.
• Incident resolution and supporting production system deployments.
• Suggest fixes to complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact of the defect.

• Support and deliver within Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines.

• Prioritise workload, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
• Perform production support activities which involve assignment of issues and issue analysis and resolution within the specified SLAs.
• Understand linux. SSH to linux box, look for web logs etc
• Understand web apps to be able to troubleshoot issues

Requirements:

• Good to have programming experience with Python.
• Java and JavaScript development experience would be an added advantage.
• You should not be afraid to do some development as well as Devops.
• Clear written and oral communication is a must.
