Job Responsibilities

Production & Execution

• Create high-quality, production-ready artwork for packaging, editorial, ads, and other creative materials.
• Follow design briefs carefully, ensuring every detail is accurate.
• Organize and maintain artwork files based on industry standards.
• Edit images, retouch photos, and adjust colors as needed.
• Prepare files for both print and digital formats (brochures, packaging, online ads, etc.).

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with creative leads and team members to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Collaborate with client service teams to understand and apply client feedback.
• Join creative meetings and contribute ideas for design solutions.
• Clearly explain design concepts and technical details to team members and clients.

Technical Skills

• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Good knowledge of print production processes.
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools like Midjourney is an advantage.

Quality & Time Management

• Ensure all designs meet high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Handle multiple projects at once, manage deadlines effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Review and provide feedback on artwork to maintain consistency.
• Keep digital files well-organized.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a design studio or agency setting.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects.
• Solid understanding of print production, packaging, and editorial design.
• Excellent typography, layout, and visual design skills.
• Good at photo editing and image retouching.
• Experience with video editing tools is a plus.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Great communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
• A strong portfolio showing production-ready and creative design work.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or creative website design.
• Familiarity with creating brand identities and brand manuals.

Design Lead – Zolvit

Location: Bangalore / Chennai

About the Role

We’re looking for a Design Lead who can manage and grow a small but mighty team of 3–5 designers, while also contributing as a senior individual contributor. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of leadership and craft — ideal for someone who can elevate both design quality and team capability in a fast-paced product environment.

You’ll report to the CPTO and work closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing leaders to define how AI can transform the compliance experience for Indian SMEs.

What You’ll Do

1. Lead & Build the Design Function

• Own end-to-end design for all Zolvit products across web & mobile
• 
  
• Hire, mentor, and develop a team of junior designers into independent product owners
• 
  

2. Scale Design Systems & Ops

• Create and maintain a scalable design system
• Implement structured design review processes
• Set up tools that reduce design-to-dev friction (e.g., Figma libraries, shared trackers)
• Experiment with AI-powered tools (e.g., Figma AI, Galileo AI) to accelerate wireframing, mockups, and QA — and build internal playbooks from these pilots

3. Act as a Strategic Partner

• Represent design in roadmap planning and cross-functional initiatives.

Provide design input to new product bets, strategy artifacts, and investor/GTM pitches

• Collaborate closely with business teams to ensure design is aligned with outcomes, not just aesthetics

You Should Have

• 5–7 years of product design experience, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or principal designer role

• A strong portfolio that demonstrates excellence in product thinking, interaction design, and visual execution
• 
  
• Experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior designers

• A growth mindset and openness to experimenting with AI and new tools

Management & Organization:

• Develop unique and engaging content to meet in-house and clients’ multiple requirements
• Create a wide variety of content across industry verticals like case studies, white papers, corporate brochures, emails, blogs, articles, social media snippets, and more
• Create social media and search engine optimized content.
• Communicate effectively with clients, meet strict deadlines, and follow clients' editorial guidelines.
• Bachelor’s Degree with preferred Major in English, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or Communications.
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a copywriter/content writer.
• Knowledge of website marketing and search engine marketing.
• Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles.
• Experience with desktop publishing tools.
• Experience working on software programs like Photoshop, CorelDraw, HTML.

• Vast knowledge of PHP programming concepts.
• Hands-on experience on object-oriented PHP, MVC design pattern and Laravel 5+ PHP Framework.
• Good understanding of Relational Database and normalization concepts.
• Should be hands-on with CSS, HTML (Responsive Web Design), JavaScript, jQuery & AJAX.
• Good communication skills; both verbal as well as written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage time efficiently to meet project timelines
• Ability to work well independently, or with remote teams
• Creative and efficient problem solver.

• Experience in Agile Software Development projects
• Experience in writing Unit Testing cases (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat)
• Capable to perform code reviews and provide code to optimize performance of the application.
