WeMakeScholars is a Fintech startup funded and supported by the Ministry of IT, Government of India. We help students get education loans to fund their studies abroad or in India by closely working with 14+ lenders, including public/private banks & NBFC. We currently get around 0.5 million unique visitors a month.
We are the market leader in the education finance segment. Last academic year, we disbursed around 5,000Cr, and this year, we'd be doing more than that. Our team has more than doubled in one year, from 70 to 180 members. Overall, we have seen tremendous growth year-on-year, in every aspect since our inception 7 years ago.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We strongly believe that eventually, every company has to become a tech company. As our website is the face of our company, we must have a strong, organically top-rank website on google to survive & grow in the long term. Since SEO plays an integral part in this, we have decided to invest more time & resources into it. We are looking for an SEO Specialist to be a part of our growth story and we like your profile for it.
You'll be working as the SEO Team Lead, with the assistance of our 6 members tech team, 4 members' content team, and 1 junior SEO Analyst. You will be directly reporting to our Chief Growth Officer who's got more than 11yrs experience with SEO.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 3yrs+ experience in SEO (preferably in consumer tech, e-commerce, banking, financial services or education segments)
- expertise in Google Analytics/SEMrush/similar web analytics platform
- well-versed with Google Algorithm updates
- Very high attention to detail, obsessed with the details & spotting opportunities to optimize
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) & interpersonal skills and a very high sense of ownership and integrity

Requirements:
