Data Engineer / Data Platform Engineer

This role is focused on Data Engineering, Pipeline Operations, and Platform Reliability. The candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines running on modern cloud-based data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Flink.
• Manage workflows and orchestration using Apache Airflow.
• Work with Databricks for large-scale data processing.
• Monitor production pipelines and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Optimize Spark jobs and clusters for performance and cost efficiency.
• Build monitoring dashboards and alerts using Datadog, CloudWatch, or Prometheus.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, BI, and Platform teams.
• Support incident management and production operations.
• Document processes and mentor junior engineers.

1. Promote and sell Orient Blackswan’s range of Higher Education books to colleges and universities in the assigned area.
2. Regularly visit colleges and universities, faculty members, and booksellers to drive sales.
3. Ensure the achievement of both sales and collections targets for the assigned areas.
4. Build strong, long-term relationships with colleges and universities, faculty members and booksellers.
5. Maintain detailed records of sales activities, feedback from customers, and competitive intelligence and submit regular reports to the regional sales manager.
6. Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities and new opportunities in the assigned area.

Job description

• A Java Full Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the full stack of an application using Java programming language
• They are expected to have expertise in both front-end and back-end development, as well as the ability to integrate the two
• Key responsibilities include: Design, develop, and maintain both client-side and server-side applications
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Develop and implement RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with other developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Test and debug applications
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in web development
• Requirements for the role include: Strong experience with Java and Java-based web development frameworks

Position Responsibilities:

You will co-ordinate and take the role of a Support consultant and support applications in your area of responsibility i.e, Retail – SAP CAR

You will contribute to the success of the implementation by applying knowledge of

POS Interfaces with CAR

CAR Inbound and Outbound Interfaces

Promotion Management in CAR along with OPP

SLT Data Setup between CAR and ECC

UDF/DDF Engines in CAR

CAR RDS Setup

Position Requirements / Minimum qualifications:

BE/B.Tech or equivalent and above degree in Computer Science or a related field.

5-9 years of experience in SAP CAR

Good experience on supporting the SAP CAR landscape

Minimum 2 end-to-end implementation of SAP CAR

Exposure to POS DTA, Integration of CAR with different systems

Preferably experienced in S4 HANA Implementation.
