Position: Data Research Executive – Business Development Department

Location: Indore (Onsite)

Role Overview:

This is a completely non-technical role focused on data extraction and refinement. The selected candidate will be responsible for collecting prospect and company information from various online sources and organizing it in a clean, structured format so that the Sales/BDE team can directly use it for outreach via Email, LinkedIn, and other platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Search and extract company and decision-maker data from online sources
• Compile and organize raw data into structured Excel/Google Sheets
• Clean and refine data (remove duplicates, correct errors, verify details)
• Prepare ready-to-use lead lists for the Sales/BDE team
• Segment data based on industry, designation, geography, etc. and Maintain updated records and ensure data accuracy
• Work closely with the Business Development team to understand data requirements

Requirements:

• Fresher or up to 6 months of experience in Data Entry / Data Research / Back-office roles
• Basic knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets and Good internet research skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• No technical or coding skills required

Sales Target Achievement:

○ Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

○ Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve these goals.

2. Lead Generation:

○ Identify potential clients through research, networking, and cold-calling.

○ Qualify leads to ensure they are a good fit for the company’s products or

services.

3. Client Engagement/Demo

○ Conduct face-to-face meetings with potential clients to present the

company’s products or services.

○ Understand client needs and tailor presentations to address their specific

requirements.

4. Client Engagement:

○ Fixing face-to-face meetings with potential clients to present the company’s

products or services.

requirements with the support of the reporting manager

5. Relationship Management:

○ Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat

business.

○ Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing any issues or concerns they

may have.

6. Reporting & Documentation:

○ Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress

in CRM systems.

○ Provide regular reports to the Sales Manager on sales performance and

market feedback.

💥 What will you do?

As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will

• Build out and help scale our Django (+ReactJS / VueJS) based web application as we add new features and customers

• Help us transition from monolithic system architecture to microservices and serverless system architecture to help meet our future scaling requirements

• Collaborate on a daily basis with a small, nimble team of product managers, engineers, and UX designers to understand business requirements and user experience goals and pain points.
• Build out features to enable multi-channel customer acquisition include partner channels, enterprise channels, and government channels
• Integrate third-party plugins to enhance customer experience and internal tooling build internal tooling to improve internal team efficiencies.
• Actively participate in code reviews
• Work with our quality assurance team to improve coverage on our automated testing suites

• Prior experience of a few years (3+ years) with python based frameworks as Django or Flask would be essential to work on our application stack.

• We will be flexible for the rest of the pandemic and work remotely; however, we are not a remote-first company, and the work location would be Bangalore when things settle.

Data Engineer JD:

• Designing, developing, constructing, installing, testing and maintaining the complete data management & processing systems.
• Building highly scalable, robust, fault-tolerant, & secure user data platform adhering to data protection laws.
• Taking care of the complete ETL (Extract, Transform & Load) process.
• Ensuring architecture is planned in such a way that it meets all the business requirements.
• Exploring new ways of using existing data, to provide more insights out of it.
• Proposing ways to improve data quality, reliability & efficiency of the whole system.
• Creating data models to reduce system complexity and hence increase efficiency & reduce cost.
• Introducing new data management tools & technologies into the existing system to make it more efficient.
• Setting up monitoring and alarming on data pipeline jobs to detect failures and anomalies

What do we expect from you?

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5 years of recent experience in Big Data Engineering.
• Good experience in working with Hadoop and Big Data technologies like HDFS, Pig, Hive, Zookeeper, Storm, Spark, Airflow and NoSQL systems
• Excellent programming and debugging skills in Java or Python.
• Apache spark, python, hands on experience in deploying ML models

- The Product Development team within PayMate works with business to establish the overall strategy and priorities for the products and platforms. Based on the business strategy and overall priorities, the Product Development team creates product plan, including high level business requirements, solution designs, benefits definition and aligns with overall go to market rollout plan.

- We are looking to hire Product Managers with Payments background and Supply Chain Finance experience. You will engage existing and potential customers directly, and decide the future of the product based upon a strong understanding of the customer requirements. You will also collaborate with technology, marketing, sales and support to solve for the best customer experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Build a scalable Payments Automation System

- Meet regularly with key customer facing teams to collect and analyse user feedback to shape new product ideas and user requirements.

- This role would require the person to work across geographies, time zones, cultures and competencies as well as internal teams who might not be very familiar with global payments & its intricacies

- Be willing to get your hands dirty - from writing feature stories, drawing swim lane diagrams to running sprint meetings, you will do it all

- You would be required to articulate & justify your vision & strategy behind you roadmap to domain experts & leaders again & again in a crowded & evolving payment stage

- Dealing with engineers & architects to design new flows, adapt systems to new market innovations while maintaining integrity & scalability of the platform is vital

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE :

- 5-7 years of experience in product management with 3 or more years in Payments background

- Strong customer centricity

- Ability to think creative and solve problem

- Familiarity in agile development framework will be preferable.

- Prior experience at fast growing fintech / B2B startups will be preferable

- Highly adaptable and aware. Comfortable in an evolving and dynamic environment.

- Good networker: persuasive with excellent interpersonal skills.
