Senior Spark QA Engineer – Functional & Performance Testing

Job Description - 

We are looking for a Senior Spark QA Engineer with strong expertise in functional and performance testing of Apache Spark applications and distributed data platforms.

Key Responsibilities -

• Perform manual and automated testing of Spark jobs, Spark SQL queries, and ETL pipelines.
• Execute functional, scalability, and performance testing for Spark workloads.
• Set up and manage Spark clusters on Standalone, YARN, Kubernetes, Mesos, Databricks, EMR, and Dataproc.
• Conduct benchmarking, validation, and performance analysis of Spark applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot distributed system issues.
• Lead QA initiatives and mentor team members.

Required Skills - 

• 5+ years of QA/testing experience with strong hands-on expertise in Apache Spark.
• Experience in functional and performance testing of distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Spark architecture and optimization techniques.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based Spark environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

2-3 years of sales coordination experience.

• Experience in developing enterprise wide web-based n-Tier applications using Microsoft and JavaScript technology stack.
• Fluent knowledge and hands-on experience in C# ASP.Net WebAPI with .Net Core/ .Net 5+, Angular (4/5+) with TypeScript, Angular Material, CSS, HTML 5, Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of nHibernate, IoC Containers, any SQL DB and any NoSQL DB would be an added advantage.
• Having experience in container technology (Kubernetes/Dockers) and microservices implementation would be an added advantage.
• Hands on experience in unit testing using tools like xUnit and mocking framework etc. CI/CD process are an added advantage
• Good knowledge and experience of OOAD, SOA and RESTful based patterns and implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales function:

* Acquisition of New Clients

* Responsible for business development for General Insurance products including Mediclaim, Asset, Fire, Liability, Engineering, Marine, etc.

* Create and execute strategies to explore new potential markets and retain existing clients.

* Driving Sales team for Initial contact for Enquiries / RFQ/Mandate Letters.

* Giving a clear understanding of the pricing and features of the product and their impact on profitability.

Relationship management

* Handling corporate customers and maintaining excellent relationships with them.

* Leveraging on the relationship with corporate and focusing on closures.

* Liaisoning with insurers and TPA to provide better services and quotes to clients.

Other Functions:

* Coordinating with HR & Finance for Corporate Data.

* Administering guidelines in terms of documentation while policy issuance and claims servicing

* Tracking of competitor activities to understand the market trends and take proactive actions.

* Analyzing their risk portfolio, suggesting ways forward to mitigate losses and maintain a healthy bottom line.

Personal Skills

* At least 3-10 years of experience in B2B sales and customer-facing role

* Very strong written and verbal communication

* High customer empathy

* Strong problem solver,

* Ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues

. Experience in outbound prospecting, cold calling, and managing sales pipeline

* Previous experience mainly in hunting, new client acquisition, and sales closures

* Experience having sold to Founders, CHROs & CFOs is a plus

* Consistently meeting assigned sales targets
