As an Operational Accounting Intern, you will be focusing on supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. Your role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, preparing documentation for audits, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. Since operational accounting impacts all areas of the organization, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across Springer Capital, gaining exposure to both finance and cross-department workflows.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Java Backend Developer with strong experience in designing and deploying scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in modern Java development, containerization, messaging systems like Kafka, and knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy microservices using Spring Boot on Azure cloud platforms.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Work with Java 11+ features including Streams, Functional Programming, and Collections framework.
• Develop and manage Docker containers, enabling efficient development and deployment pipelines.
• Integrate messaging services like Apache Kafka into microservice architectures.
• Design and maintain data models using PostgreSQL or other SQL databases.
• Implement unit testing using JUnit and mocking frameworks to ensure code quality.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using Cucumber or similar tools.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and other teams for seamless CI/CD integration and deployment pipelines.
• Work with Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized services.
• Utilize Couchbase or similar NoSQL technologies when necessary.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to best practices and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Java (11 or above) and Spring Boot framework.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and deployment on Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, and exposure to Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Kafka, with real-world project experience.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (or any SQL DB) and data modeling principles.
• Experience in writing unit tests using JUnit and mocking tools.
• Experience with Cucumber or similar frameworks for API automation testing.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools, DevOps processes, and Git-based workflows.

Nice to Have:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate)
• Familiarity with Couchbase or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with other cloud providers (AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Mandate Skills:

• 3 - 7 years of experience in cloud-native applications (Azure strongly preferred) using Python.
• Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design and practices.
• Strong RDBMS experience (PostgreSQL, MS SQL etc.) designing tables & writing queries.
• Great command of design patterns (especially integration design patterns)

Required Skills:

• Proven work experience as an Enterprise / Data / Analytics Architect - Data Platform in HANA XSA, XS, Data Intelligence and SDI
• Can work on new and existing architecture decision in HANA XSA, XS, Data Intelligence and SDI
• Well versed with data architecture principles, software / web application design, API design, UI / UX capabilities, XSA / Cloud foundry architecture
• In-depth understand of database structure (HANA in-memory) principles.
• In-depth understand of ETL solutions and data integration strategy.
• Excellent knowledge of Software and Application design, API, XSA, and microservices concepts

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Advise and ensure compliance of the defined Data Architecture principle.
• Identifies new technologies update and development tools including new release/upgrade/patch as required. 
• Analyzes technical risks and advises on risk mitigation strategy.
• Advise and ensures compliance to existing and development required data and reporting standard including naming convention.

The time window is ideally AEST (8 am till 5 pm) which means starting at 3:30 am IST. We understand it can be very early for an SME supporting from India. Hence, we can consider the candidates who can support from at least 7 am IST (earlier is possible).

REQUIREMENT-

• 2-4 years of experience with working on UI frameworks like Angular
• Experience in product companies would be a plus
• Must have a solid understanding of JavaScript and related libs, CSS
• Big plus if familiar with Django, Flask, Postgres, Linux, Git, AWS
• Writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code
• Ability to define cross-core contracts and bring them to closure through collaboration.
