Product Designer

Position Overview

As a Design Intern at Enigma Digital, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to real-world projects that redefine the digital space. You will work closely with our team of experienced designers to learn the ropes of digital design, from conceptualization to execution. Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of digital design assets for a variety of platforms, including web, mobile, and social media.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaign strategies and design concepts.
• Support the design team in researching design trends, user behaviours, and new technologies.
• Help prepare presentations and mock-ups for client pitches and internal reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, and product management, to ensure design consistency and coherence.
• Receive and act on feedback from senior design staff to refine and iterate on design projects.
• Aid in the maintenance of design files and assets, ensuring they are organized and up-to-date.
• Engage in learning opportunities, such as workshops and training sessions, to enhance your design skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• A portfolio showcasing design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Basic proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).
• A strong desire to learn and grow within the field of digital design.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• An understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and user-centred design practices.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to take on new challenges.

1. Only NIFT, NID, or pearl graduate
2. Develop standard UI components and style guides
3. Build wireframes and storyboards to conceptualize design
4. Define visual elements, product elements, and overall design
5. Taking design briefs to understand requirements
6. Effectively communicate your designs to developers and other key stakeholders
7. Create and implement interaction models and user interface specifications
8. Conduct industry research and stay up-to-date on best practices, competitor UI designs, and emerging technologies
9. Conduct, observe and analyze usability testing sessions
10. Conduct user testing of applications, software, and websites
11. Develop consistent, intuitive architectures
12. Support the QA team to make sure features are implemented in the coded version as intended
13. Determine timeline and deliverables
14. Evaluate and set best practices and standards
15. Work with UI managers and team to define user flows and sitemaps
16. Measure the human-computer interaction (HCI) element of a design
17. Collaborate on scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs
18. Work with frontend and backend developers as needed

• Should have experience researching problem statements and designing solutions that meet the desired UX goals and stakeholder requirements

• Should be able to rapidly prototype ideas; pen and paper will do for mockups. Should be familiar with prototyping tools or front end code for higher fidelity prototyping

• Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate idea to all stakeholders product, engineering and design

• Must have average above average knowledge of the Adobe Suite

• Must be able to look at the product as a whole to design workflows that scale

• Must be able to measure UX changes and suggest further improvements

• Should be able to build UI components that meet the desired UX. Should be able to understand and respect the UX

• Should follow the style guide and design according to the guidelines

• Understanding of typography, typographic grid, grid based systems, design frameworks and responsive design principles is required. Should be able to adapt and extend the style guide as required and define new UI components when needed

• Should be able to build reusable UI components

• Good communication with the product and engineering teams to assess feasibility of UI components

• Experience with motion/interaction design a plus

• Must know the Adobe Creative Suite well. Must also be familiar with prototyping tools

• Must be passionate about designing for web and social media
• Must have experience in Facebook & Google Ad Graphics
• Proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Coreldraw and Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills, Must be quick in understanding and implementing ideas
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

Job Role:

Working on UI/UX prototyping and designs on Adobe XD

Creating UI designs and UX on Adobe Design Suite

Designing the user flows and mock-ups based on product requirements

Working on a strong and varied set of product features and simplifying the user experience

Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables)

Build wireframes and storyboards, user flows, and sitemaps to conceptualize design

Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions, and visual designs for mobile & desktop

Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design process

Stay abreast of UX trends and look for creative ideas, and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds

Research and track advancements in mobile and Web application design patterns

Stay in the loop and on top of the latest standards, changes, trends in the mobile design field
