Server & platform engineering
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PKI)
- Administer Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) — installation, hardening, patching, and performance tuning
- Manage services running on Linux: web servers, databases, application runtimes, and scheduled jobs
- Administer and optimise virtualisation platforms (VMware vSphere / Hyper-V) at scale
- Manage and develop the hybrid Azure infrastructure — IaaS, resource groups, policy, cost management

Global projects & architecture
- Collaborate as an equal peer with the systems team at Bertus HQ in the Netherlands
- Contribute to and lead global infrastructure rollouts, migrations, and standardisation projects
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and architectural improvements
- Participate in architectural decisions and capacity planning across both sites
- Maintain thorough documentation of architecture, runbooks, and change records
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents across time zones
Required knowledge & experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech / BCA / BSc IT or equivalent) in a relevant IT discipline
- 4–7 years of hands-on experience in a systems engineering or infrastructure role — not helpdesk
- Deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 / Azure administration
- Strong Linux administration skills: RHEL/CentOS or Ubuntu/Debian in a production environment
- Experience with Linux system hardening, package management, systemd, and log analysis
- Strong virtualisation skills: VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Solid networking knowledge: TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, firewalls, VPN
- Proficiency in scripting for automation: PowerShell and Bash (Python is a plus)
- Fluent written and spoken English — you will work daily with Dutch colleagues
Nice to have — bonus points
- Microsoft certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102, SC-300 or equivalent
- Linux certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, LPIC-1/2, or equivalent

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on scalability, security, and cost optimization.

- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and automation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of four years of proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and deployment automation.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Security, and Azure Monitor.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Docker Swarm.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with relevant tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive and analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Incumbent with the relevant experience of 2+ years as a SharePoint Developer with the given skills below:
- Understanding of MS cloud services.
- Experience in developing applications for SharePoint Online, and Office 365. Proficient in building custom solutions on SharePoint Online.
- Experience in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), ReactJS, and Typescript.
- Experience in power platforms like Power Automate & Power BI.
- Good knowledge of SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-premise.
- Strong skills in HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery.
- Familiarity with SharePoint "Out of the Box" features.
- An understanding of SharePoint Designer, workflows, and Powershell script.
