About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and creative Video Editor to join our team! As video has become the best way for communicating a company's messages on online platforms, your position will play an important role in our client's success.
You will have worked in an agency or busy in-house team, and have experience in editing compelling, shareable digital and social content for consumer/lifestyle brands.
You are excited about editing video campaigns and high-impact story-telling content for a wide range of clients.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize video templates to grab attention and engage the audience
- Use elements and audio to improve the scroll-stop ratio and avg time spent on video
- Plan new tests fortnightly and experiment with them on small budgets.
- Share reports with Campaign Managers and discusses the insights
- Assist with motion graphics as needed
Who you are
- 1-2 years of video editing experience
- Great with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop
- Have a sound design and a passion for experimenting

Description
As a Render Technical Director (Render TD), you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the rendering and lighting tools, software and workflows used on our award-winning VFX and Feature Animation shows. You will be providing front-line technical support to lighting artists, identifying inefficiencies in workflows and troubleshooting lighting scenes to enable our talented lighting artists to deliver world-class work on each show.
Our Render TDs are highly technical and demonstrate an aptitude for creative problem solving. You will regularly be required to:
- provide face-to-face support and assistance for lighting artists
- assist with the creation of technical robust setups, such as light rigs and scene templates, for use throughout our shows
- contribute to testing and provide feedback for software releases from our R&D teams that impact lighting and rendering
- help identify and resolve inefficiencies in the lighting and rendering pipeline
As well as being able to demonstrate technical skill and initiative, you will need to be an excellent communicator and be able to work enthusiastically in a highly collaborative environment. You will work closely with our Render Supervisors as well as supervisors from other departments, such as Model, Texture, Look Development and FX, to identify and highlight rendering considerations and help optimize their lighting tools and workflows. Your ability to aid communication between these departments in the reporting and resolving of issues and to accurately communicate between technical developers and non-technical artists will help you thrive in this role.
Above all, you will be working as part of a team of exceptionally talented TDs and Render Supervisors alongside our dynamic and creative R&D department, contributing to the production of exceptional VFX and Animation work on projects ranging from blockbuster epics to television dramas.
Must have:
- Previous experience in the visual effects or a related industry
- Practical experience with lighting and rendering DCCs such as Clarisse, Katana and Houdini
- Experience with path tracing renderers such as Clarisse, Renderman and Mantra
Nice to have:
- Render wrangling experience
- Look development experience
- Shader writing experience
- Python programming skills
- Experience writing tools ands scripts for the lighting pipeline

Essential Functions:
- Work with VFX Lead and Art Director to create a wide range of high quality real-time VFX
- Collaborate with design to create abilities, boss effects, in-game pickup effects
- Create skyboxes, cloud systems, storms, and ambient effects inside environments
- Create VFX for cinematics to support story
- You will be expected to create the highest quality real-time visual effects, both in appearance and performance, while adhering to the project’s artistic vision
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, animation and art teams to create beautiful and believable effects that offer creative solutions to design challenges, add life to the game world, and create wow moments for the users
- Responsible for a variety of aspects of real-time vfx production from creation & simulation all the way through optimization and quality assurance
- You will work in the engine and own both the technical and creative processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of real-time VFX experience
- Impressive portfolio demonstrating a wide variety of VFX coverage and animation skills
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop, as well as Maya or other 3D packages
- Critical eye for timing and motion in relation to real world physics behaviors
- Experienced in gameplay VFX (abilities, boss, npc)
- Team player attitude, and self-driven to excellent content
- Proficiency with authoring and editing node based shaders and blueprints
- Advanced animation proficiencies with experience using Houdini, FumeFX, Rayfire, and/or After Effects
- Strong knowledge of PC and console development
