Position Senior Software Sales Manager

Experience: 5+ years

Location: Mumbai

A Software Business Process Automation (BPA) Sales role involves selling technology 

solutions around RPA, Gen AI, Agentic AI, etc. The primary objective is to help 

organizations reduce human error, lower operational costs, and increase productivity. 

Core Responsibilities (As an Individual Contributor) 

∙Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identifying and targeting potential clients across 

industries like manufacturing (Mid-Market) that rely on high-volume, manual 

processes, thus creating qualified pipeline. 

∙Consultative Selling: Analysing a prospect's existing business processes to identify 

bottlenecks and inefficiencies that can be solved through automation. 

∙Solution Demonstrations: Conducting technical presentations and product demos of 

BPA tools (e.g., RPA, workflow engines, or AI-driven platforms) to show real-world 

value. 

∙Account Management & Relationship Building: Maintain strong 

relationships with clients to drive adoption and ensure long-term satisfaction. 

∙Strategic Collaboration: Working with internal technical teams and subject matter 

experts to tailor software solutions that meet specific client needs. 

∙Closing & Management: Negotiating contracts, managing the sales pipeline and 

providing sales forecasts to management.  

Key Qualifications 

∙Education: Typically, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field. 

∙Experience: Proven track record in software sales, specifically in business process 

automation, SaaS, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for Manufacturing 

vertical for minimum 3 Years. 

∙Technical Skills: Familiarity with technologies like Robotic Process Automation 

(RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Gen AI, AI Agents, etc.  

∙Soft Skills: Fluent English Speaking, Strong negotiation, presentation, and 

relationship-building abilities to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals. 

Typical Sales Targets & Metrics 

∙Annual Quota: Meeting or exceeding set revenue targets. 

∙Lead Conversion Rate: Efficiency in moving prospects through the sales funnel. 

∙Retention/Expansion: Upselling additional automation modules to existing clients.  

∙Unhiding new opportunities, Qualifying and Pipeline Management. 

Job Description

· Design technical specifications for RPA (Uipath) that meets the requirements and handled all the non functional requirements of concurrency, scalability, security requirements, restart and recovery.

· Develops and configures automation processes as per the technical design document to meet the defined requirements. Works on the coding the more complicated automations or reusable components, and delegates and mentors junior developers for the less complex components.

· Develops new processes/tasks/objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.

· Complies with and helps to enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures.

· Ensures documentation is well maintained.

· Ensures quality of coded components by performing thorough unit testing.

· Works collaboratively with test teams during the Product test and UAT phases to fix assigned bugs with quality.

· Reports status, issues and risks to tech leads on a regular basis

· Improves skills in automation products by completing automation certification.

· Mentors junior developers and performs code reviews for quality control.

Bachelor degree in Engineering / Computer Science

Additional Information

· 5- 8 years of IT experience and having good understanding of programming concepts. Should be from a programming background on any coding language (.Net, Java).

· Working experience in RPA for a minimum of 2 years and having project experience of a minimum 3 RPA implementations.

· Understands development methodology and lifecycle

· Should be trained on RPA tools (Uipath).

· Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented.

· Well organized, good communication and reporting skills.
