Position of the role

The Principal Engineer reports to the Domain Lead and plays a key role in driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of development initiatives. The Principal Engineer collaborates with multiple teams to ensure that software solutions are scalable, cost-optimized, performant, and aligned with business objectives.

The Principal Engineer is responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the implementation of complex software solutions. This role involves deep technical expertise, mentorship, and architectural guidance across multiple teams. The Principal Engineer also acts as a thought leader, influencing technology choices, best practices, and innovation within the organization.

✔ Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

✔ Experience in architecting and developing scalable, high-performance applications.

✔ Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and automation.

✔ Deep understanding of microservices, monolith, APIs, and distributed systems.

• Strong development experience in Python in the environment of Unix/Linux/Ubuntu
• Strong practical knowledge of Python and its libraries.
• Current working experience with cloud deployment of AWS/Azure/GCP, Microservice architecture, and Docker in Python.

• Good Experience of Python with Django/ Scrapy/ Flask frameworks.

• Expected to have migration experience from one version to the other, as this project is about migration to the latest version.

• 7+ years of experience in IT
• Demonstrable expertise in Golang development services, including a deep understanding of its syntax, advanced features, and standard library
• Familiarity with Go routines and channel patterns, as well as experience in writing high-performance Go code
• Solid grasp of web development fundamentals, including HTTP/HTTPS protocols, RESTful API design, data structures, and WebSockets
• Experience with designing and implementing microservices in Go and an understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
