Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for India:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify key trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Indian travel industry.
- Define clear goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for business growth.
- Develop and implement tactical plans to achieve targets, including sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and partnership programs.
Identify and build strategic partnerships:
- Identify, target, and establish relationships with key players in the travel industry, including travel agents, online travel agencies (OTAs), tour operators, and travel technology providers.
- Negotiate and secure mutually beneficial partnership agreements that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and brand awareness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure long-term collaboration and success.
Explore new business opportunities:
- Continuously explore new avenues for growth and partnerships within the travel industry and related verticals like insurance, banking etc.
- Identify potential opportunities to expand our product offerings or target new customer segments.
- Analyze and evaluate the feasibility of new business ventures and make recommendations to the leadership team.
Represent the company at industry events:
- Attend relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our brand and generate leads.
- Build relationships with industry professionals and stay abreast of the latest trends and developments.
Manage and track business performance:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on business performance, including sales figures, partnership activities, and market insights.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and make recommendations for adjustments to the business strategy.
Marketing & Operations:
- Work with designers to drive engagement on social media and Instagram and increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Create compelling content across various social media platforms.
- Manage and optimize Shopify store, including product listings, inventory, and customer service.
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and drive sales.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure campaign effectiveness.
Build and manage a high-performing team (future responsibility):
- As the business grows, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of business development professionals.

What This Role Actually Is
This isn't a "keep the monolith alive" job.
You'll be designing and building new AI-powered features, integrating LLM APIs into production Rails applications, and using Claude Code as a core part of your daily workflow — not as an experiment. You'll work directly with US-based enterprise clients alongside Product Managers, AI Business Consultants, and Delivery Excellence Managers.
