SENIOR ENGINEER FRONTEND JOB DESCRIPTION

To lead the development of robust, scalable, and visually engaging frontend applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. The Senior Engineer – Frontend will drive architectural decisions,

implement best practices in UI/UX, and ensure seamless integration with backend systems. This role focuses on building high-performance, maintainable interfaces while mentoring junior engineers and

contributing to the continuous improvement of the overall product development process.

Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Product Owner and tech lead to discover, design, develop and deploy

great financial tools and products that provide meaningful value to our customers.

• Develop,Unittests and deploy components.

• IntegrateUI application with restAPIs.

• Primary technologies focused on modern front-end - Advanced JS ES6, React, Redux, Angular Js and other modern JS frameworks,HTML/CSS.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development ,testing, and production environments.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trendsto continuously improve our tech

stack.

• Mentor andguide junior engineers,fostering a culture oflearning and growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computerscience, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent

experience).

• 4 to 8 years of practical experience and proven success with the design, development and

operation of complex web applications.

• Strong experience with modern and vanilla JavaScript and Typescript techniques

including JSX and ES6/ES7 features

• Familiarity connecting to microservices, REST APIs, graph APIs, and other database- driven

web applications

• Experiencewiththird-party librariesandAPIs

• Asynchronous programming including Promises, async/await, andES7generators

• Knowledge ofmodern authorizationmechanisms,such asJSONWebToken

• Familiaritywithmodernfront-end build pipelines andtools

• Experience with common front-end developmenttoolssuch as Babel,Webpack,NPM, etc.

• Broad technical knowledge across a majority, with deeper knowledge in,the following: Web

What does the role look like?

Software Development Engineers FE will be responsible to participate in all stages of the software product development life cycle. This will include analyzing system and user requirements, designing software flowcharts, creating user interfacing applications (Web Or Mobile) , troubleshooting bugs, and running tests to improve system functionality.
An ideal candidate would be someone who has proficiency in Flutter and JavaScript frameworks, good analytical skills, the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions, and excellent teamwork skills.

What will you be doing?
● Write simple, efficient, and maintainable code.
● Design, develop, scale and maintain User Application written in JS or Dart.
● Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
● Validating the functionality and security of the application.
● Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
● Ensuring best coding standards and practices to improve and maintain quality.
● Meeting with the engineering and product team to discuss project definitions and goals.

What will you need ?
● Bachelor/Master degree in CS or related field from a reputed college
● Sound knowledge of JavaScript or Flutter technologies.
● Solid grip on the programming basics like DS and algorithms, OOPS.
● Understanding & experience with restful APIs and microservice architecture
● Prior experience in start-ups or health-tech will be a plus

• Convert wireframes into rich interactive prototypes. 
• Work with backend development team to integrate front end code. 
• Understand business requirements and convert into functional specifications.

• Working on Information architecture and Designing wireframes and prototypes.

Skills Required:

• 4+ years of commercial-grade web/front-end development experience.
• Strong experience in JavaScript, ideally ES6 or ES7, Node.js, building Single Page Web Applications with modern frameworks (Angular or AngularJS, React, Vue).
• 2+ years hands on experience with frameworks like react/relay/Redux/node.
• 2+ years with JS build tools like grunt,webpack,gulp etc.
• Knowledge in ES6, Webpack is a plus.
• Experience in creating web applications with delightful user experience.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Experience in TDD, Writing Clean & Readable code.
• Experience in Version control - Git.
• Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations 
• Experience in creating responsive pages and cross-browser support.
• Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas by rapid prototyping.
• Debugging skills, familiar with debugging tools of all major browsers.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience in Fintech Startups
• Knowledge of Node.js, Express js, AWS (EC2, S3, Elasticsearch)
• Knowledge and working experience with MongoDB, NOSQL

With major Pharmaceutical companies adopting us for rollout in South East Asia, we are scaling our engineering team. 

What you will do

• Implement unit testing, example Junit, to support development of test-driven development
• Write reusable, Testable and efficient code
• Develop new client-side ReactJS components for modern web and mobile applications
• Design scalable frontend architecture
• Improve product quality through code reviews, write effective unit tests and collaborate with Q&A to implement automation testing
• Contribute to open source, write your experiences, mentor others and proactively improve

What you will have

• Strong teamwork, coordination, and planning, self-managed
• Experience working remotely & as part of a distributed engineering team
• Strong problem solving skills are essential.
• English Skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken english).
• Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience in frontend development particularly ReactJS
