Tech Lead

What does the role look like?
Software Development Engineers will be responsible to participate in all stages of
the software product development life cycle. This will include analyzing system
and user requirements, designing software flowcharts, writing clean Java code,
troubleshooting bugs, and running tests to improve system functionality.
An ideal candidate would be someone who has proficiency in Java technologies,
good analytical skills, the ability to anticipate issues and frame remedial actions,
and excellent teamwork skills.

What will you be doing?
● Write simple, efficient, and maintainable code.
● Design, develop, scale and maintain backend services in Java
● Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
● Validating the functionality and security of the application.
● Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
● Ensuring best coding standards and practices to improve and maintain
quality.
● Meeting with the engineering and product team to discuss project definitions
and goals.

What will you need ?
● Bachelor/Master degree in CS or related field from a reputed college
● Sound knowledge of Java technologies.
● Solid grip on the programming basics like DS and algorithms, OOPS.
● Understanding & experience with software design pattern, restful APIs and
microservice architecture
● Experience with software design and application programming.
● Prior experience in start-ups or health-tech will be a plus

Experience: 5-7 years of strong product development experience in building a massively large-scale distributed internet systems and products.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent from a premier institute Strong development, coding experience in one or more programming languages like OO Programming (Java), Functional/Scripting languages.
• Expertise in Data Structures, Algorithms, Concurrency.
• Expertise in Micro-services Architecture, multi-threading, performance-oriented programming and designing skills
• Strong software design/development experience in building massively large-scale distributed internet systems and products
• Experience of working on Big Data technologies and applications
• Expertise in one or more persistence technologies (Cassandra, Redis, ElasticSearch, RDBMS).
• Superior organization, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must be a proven performer and team player that enjoy challenging assignments in a high-energy, fast-growing and start-up workplace
• Must be a self-starter who can work well with minimal guidance and in a fluid environment
• Provide good attention to details
• Must be excited by challenges surrounding the development of highly scalable & distributed system for building audience targeting capabilities
• Agility and ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and scope and priorities

Requirements:

• Required experience of 3 to 8 years

• Required Skill Set: Core Java, Java 8, Spring, Spring Boot, Database, Unit Testing & Rest API.

• Good to have Microservices

• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful

• You will be responsible to perform- requirement analysis, high-level design, coding, unit testing, and general quality assurance of the web applications

• Knack for writing clean, readable Java code

• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

• Good to have knowledge of Spring Security, and JPA

• BE/BTech degree in Computer Science from a top engineering school
• 1-5 years of professional software development experience
• Strong problem solving skills and strong command on object oriented design, data structures, algorithms and other computer science fundamentals.
• Strong coding skills - professional experience in developing production-quality software in Java/Python
• Expertise in Web Services, Service-oriented architecture, Databases, NoSQL, Distributed systems, Cloud Technologies.
• Extreme software engineering skills to design and develop low-latency, high availability, internet-scale web services
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle and software engineering best practices
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Demonstrated ability to own software design and development end to end from requirements to launch.
